I was just thinking that about Chicago. I've been there about 10 times for business and have been surprised how clean it is for such a large and old city. Great food too and good prices.

I went to a Cubs game and parked about 10 blocks from Wrigley. We walked through the neighborhood and it was very clean with plenty of trees and well kept yards. The air show was that day and Wrigley must have been the turnaround point because they all buzzed us even a C-5. The crowd would Ooo and Aaa when they would pass.

Absolutely....very clean and very beautiful ! I was so impressed with all the center divider planters full of plants and flowers in the downtown area streets. You could tell they are very well cared for. Rush Street was really neat. I could see me living in that area for sure. My brother's sister-in-law and her boyfriend live close to Rush Street and love it. They have a view of the lake so I know they pay an arm and a leg for their condo. They are both professionals and I found out they never eat at home...never. Every meal is eaten out! Of course with all the restaurants within walking distance makes that alot of fun, I'm sure.

The 2 negatives I saw while there for just those few days.... the horrid interstate system and the airport. Too many vehicles for the too few lanes. We talked to the cab drivers that said it's always been really bad. Our 30 minute cab ride from the hotel to the airport took almost 2 hours because of creeping along and stopping and starting....it was so frustrating. Also, the airport needs a facelift for sure. It's old and crowded...just a few restaurants and they were tiny with no place to sit down. People were sitting in the floors everywhere....kinda weird.

We really had a good time. I would love to go back next Spring to the "Taste of Chicago". That really sounds like fun!

You know Rush Street was once known for the strip joints. Do they still have people hanging around airports selling flowers? You know you can take the "El" from the airport instead of a cab.

Did you make it to the 'Viagra Triangle'? That's about a block south of Rush and Division. There is a well known steakhouse called Gibson's. Lots of fun for us middle aged folks.

Yes the traffic is terrible. If you were on the Kennedy after 2:00 pm then good luck.

Did you see the California dolphins at Shedd? Can you believe how high they can jump? I almost bought a place on Division just east of Rush. I'll it was real close to your brothers sister-in-law.

Take a look at my 5th pic down....that's the dolphins! My camera sucks and the picture isn't good...plus I hate trying to take a picture when you push the button and what seems like 3 seconds later the camera actually takes the dang picture 03-banghead I should just give up on "action shots". 03-lmfao

Yea, my nephew said to ride the train but there is alot of construction going on with it now and it doesn't go to O'Hare....not sure when it will be completed. It's a real mess right now with the traffic.
