What's the word on the street regarding Mitchell? I would think that there would be great expectations on him, given that he's coming from a strong program and 'major' conference. I follow the recruiting trail closely, and I recall when Knight signed him. If Knight recruited him, obviously that says a lot. He shoots a high percentage which tells me he's scoring frequently in the paint. Given the lack of post men in the league, that obviously bodes well for you guys.

I've heard he's not really a banger but has good versatility for his size. Some here have said he looked good in practice last year so I have high hopes. Thats sort of the story of this years basketball team for Kennesaw. We return about 4-5 scholie players that received minutes last year so we're going to have to depend a lot on the unkown. Mitchell averaged a double double in the highest level of Florida Jucos. That means he can play. I think his numbers as a freshman in Juco were like 15 and 12, and he had a legit NBA prospect on his team, so it wasn't like he was just padding his stats. I am anxious to see him hit the court. He should be a solid post option for us at worst. We are going to need him after losing Stegall and Jacobs.
