The fact of the matter is that he's old, and despite a good season last year, on the decline. The Packers are doing the right thing.

Brett Favre is Brett Favre. You on the other hand are a UAB football fan. UAB footall is to be pitied and laughed at. You play in front of tens of thousands of empty seats and your team sucks bigtime. So you are the ass. No UAB fan has earned the right to even make a comment on Brett Favre or any other USM football player, past or present. UAB is USM"s little b#tch. That is the real joke.
give me a F'n break.
what does usm avg. in football attendance?
2006 usm avg. 28,994 UAB avg. 23,139 http://www.ncaa.org/stats/football/atten...ndance.pdf
to read your smack, one would be led to believe usm averaged 30,000+ yet usm isn't even in the top 70 of NCAA football attendance.
your stadium only seats 33,000, and with usm's avg. attendance you STILL play in front of 1,000's of empty seats.
sometimes 10,000 or more. just not as many as UAB since LF seats 70,000+
Even if UAB's attendance was the same as the top CUSA schools (UTEP 42,444, ECU 37,168, UM 32,440),
we'd still play in front of tens of thousands of empty seats as would every other CUSA team if they played home games at LF.

this an internet message board.
Since UAB hasn't beaten usm in football, does that preclude UAB fans from posting an opinion?
I personally like BF, but this act has grown old.

you want some smack usmbacker? Don't post about basketball until your team can get to the NCAA's THIS CENTURY.
You don't have much experience with your history of 2 total invites, the last being 1991.
Take a look at this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NCAA_Men's_..._By_School
yeah, it's true. TWO WHOLE APPEARANCES.
Now THAT'S a real joke, to be pitied and laughed at.
And usm has been competing in basketball HOW LONG?

Nice try. My eyes saw all I needed to see last year when I went to the USM/UAB game. No way in hell there were 4,000 people at that game. You know UAB has no where near those numbers you posted. I would post some pictures of UAB crowds, but I will be nice and not do that. UAB needs to get a campus stadium or just drop down to 1AA or Div II football and play in a high school stadium.

Sigh.

Any other USM fans want to reel this yo-yo in?

He is apparently proud to not know what the hell he's talking about.

so, you don't deal in facts either. seems to be a going thing in some circles.
I didn't make-up the figures. those facts are from the NCAA 2006.
it's called an average for a reason. AVERAGE, look it up.
http://www.ncaa.org/stats/football/atten...ndance.pdf

REALLY?
ONLY TWO NCAA BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT APPEARANCES EVER?
that would put you in the company of:
Alabama State
Samford
Appy State
N. Texas
and Georgia State
and one more bid than traditional powerhouses
SW La
Troy
Fla Atlantic
W.Carolina
FIA
I could list more, but I'll be kind, also.

keep in mind usmbacker
ignorance can be cured, stupidity is forever.
to which camp will you fall?

Wait, hold on a second. Are you trying to tell me that USM has a basketball program? Surely you jest.
