RE: Hope Concert Series Friday night
from Mack....
By God's grace, we had 36 new sponsored children from the Aaron
Shust/Jeremy Horn concert weekend! With 14 sponsorships coming
from Hope's weekend worship services, that brings the total number of
children sponsored through Hope over the years to 1,134! And we may
be adding to that total in the upcoming weeks, as we had some who
took packets with a commitment to sponsor. Thank you to all who took
the time to stop by one of the Compassion tables to learn how you could
be part of our global emphasis in Ecuador, Mexico, Honduras, and
Kenya.
If you weren't able to be at the last concert, be sure to visit
<http://www.HopeConcerts.com> today for information about this
Friday's concert with Phillips, Craig, & Dean, and our own Bruce Carroll,
and also to find out how you can join in our strategic vision to bring
hope to "the least of these." If you'd prefer not to sign-up to sponsor a
child online, Compassion will be at every concert, as well as at the
weekend services for each concert. We look forward to seeing you
there!
Hope Church and the Hope Music Academy
About our relationship with Compassion:
For the past 8 years, Hope Church has partnered with Compassion
International during our Summer Concert Series. Compassion is a
ministry of integrity, working right at the heart of God to release children
from poverty in Jesus' name. We know it sounds impossible: taking on
global poverty. After all, the problem is just so big...can we really make
a difference? We think we can. In the words of Edmund Burke "No
man makes a greater mistake than he who does nothing because he
knows it is not everything."
Through Hope's partnership with Compassion and your generosity, more
than 1,100 children have been sponsored during this time! We truly are
a congregation capable of great things! While it's not "everything,"
each of these children now have the opportunity to be healthy, to
receive an education, to develop socially/emotionally, and most
importantly, each one is being taught of the love of God in Christ Jesus.
Compassion is a ministry that now reaches over 1,000,000 children, and
during the first 3 months of this year alone, over 33,000 children in
Compassion's program made a first time profession of faith in Christ!
