Rolling Stones in 94. Great show and much better than the last time they played at the Forum.
Monsters of Rock!! Scorpions kicked VH off the stage that night. Watching the mullets in leather bang their heads in that 100 degree heat during the Metallica set made me laugh.
Had offers of free tickets for both U2 and Mccartney but passed them up. U2 were well past my favorite stage (Joshua Tree) of theirs and Sir Paul was on a bad night.

From the other thread, I posted:
Quote:Missed that one, but I remember (barely) ZZ Top playing there on a Texas shaped stage with live longhorns and rattlesnakes onstage.

I also saw Three Dog Night, Black Oak Arkansas, and Buddy Miles In, I believe, the first ever concert at Liberty Bowl.

I'm pretty sure it was Buddy Miles and not Billy Preston, bit I could be wrong. I seem to remember "Them Changes" and "Down By The River" from his playlist.

That was the first concert at the LB and I think it was about 1974. I was thinking it was BP when he had that song "Space Race" but I could easily be mistaken. I've lost a brain cell or two since then.

although U2 is my all-time favorite band, that was indeed the worst of all their live shows I've seen, and i've seen every tour since ZooTV in 1992. bono's voice was completely shredded.

...but rage against the machine kicked ass that night!

Monsters of Rock. And the Scorpions were the best on stage that day/night.
