It is really amazing that Penn State still ignores certain Big East programs. A WVU-PSU game could be a ABC college gameday type event but that "Old Man" is very bitter and refuses to make this happpen.

Maybe when JoPa goes out to pasture, things will change.

Jose I hope so but PSU has issues they are an "eastern" school in a midwest league were many of the schools don'y care for them. It has taken almost 20 years for SU to meet up with PSU and that is only because Syracuse is down. PSU should be playing WVU/Pitt/RU/SU etc.

Maybe when JoePa is gone the Nittany Lions will realize they aren't a midwestern team and come home.

ECU is a good series......and So. Miss usually has some good teams.

I don't mind the CUSA teams.....and besides, we only have 7 conference games, gotta have somebody to help fill out our schedules. I'd rather play CUSA vs Sunbelt or MAC.

I agree. I would like to see some type of cross-conference scheduling agreement between The Big East and CUSA. CUSA football teams could help the Big East fill-out their home football schedules while the Big East basketball teams would visit CUSA schools and help pump up their RPI's. For example you take a school like UofL that has to schedule Middle Tennessee and Tennessee Tech for football. Games against Southern Miss and UCF would be more appealing to UofL. In the case of CUSA basketball, UAB and Houston both could have certainly used the RPI shot that playing UCONN, WVU and / or Syracuse would have gave them. It would have probably got both into the tournament last season.

RE: WVU future schedules
The ECU-VT series is 4 games in Blacksburg, 4 games in Greenville, 1 game in Charlotte. I guess ECU actually gets the better end of that deal as the 'odd' game is in North Carolina and we will be the 'home' team for the game, although VT gets more tickets to the game as it is included in both schools season ticket package.

I wouldnt mind if the ECU-WVU series included a Charlotte game only if ECU gets the same amount of home visits by WVU as ECU is to give, as in the VT case. Either way I'm glad that WVU will continue to be on our schedule.

RE: WVU future schedules
I'm pleased with the direction the scheduling is taking. A regional approach makes sense, especially if there are good quality opponents to bring in.

I agree that a continuation of the ECU/WVU series is a good thing. We've played them so much over the years it almost feels like a conference game. I think our fans enjoy playing ECU and traveling to Greenville, and ECU always brings a nice contingent of fans to Morgantown. It's often a very competitive game, although WVU has the edge in the won/loss record. This year's ECU game in particular could be very tough.
