Sorry man..This is one of the few things I've never tried. I believe UofMWalton or LXATiger have a good method.

Doesn't UofMWalton have some of the best recipes for most things

RE: BBQ Bologna Recipe
I can't believe that I watched all of that. Here's the reader's digest version.

Take a loaf of bologna (he used about 3 lbs) cut several 1/4" slits on one side. Mix enough mustard (he used yellow and brown) and soy sauce in a dish to coat the the meat, then loosely coat with brown sugar. Place meat in pan cover bottom of pan with beer. Place on smoker for about 4 hours. Your choice of wood smoke /he used hickory.

Slice and then grill each piece on both sides over the coals before serving with choice of condiments. He used the mustard/soy sauce mixture, sweet onions, and smoked red peppers served on toasted bread.

RE: BBQ Bologna Recipe
Thank God mphsfan condensed the YouTube version. I did not make it past the dude unwrapping the bologna and throwing the wrapper on the snow covered ground!

I have used a method similar to that one and it turned out pretty good! My brother in law does most of the serious grilling for our family and he does some great BBQ bologna. Wonder if I can snatch that recipe maybe when he ain't lookin'..........

Hey Hottie on the hot rod,

The way that he caressed the unwrapped bologna was a bit disturbing. Sorry you missed it. 03-wink

RE: BBQ Bologna Recipe
My grandma used to make me BBQ bologna. It was so good. She bought bologna precut though, ha. She would fry the bologna and toast some wheat bread then pour bbq sauce on it. BBQ bologna, ha. Not as complex as most recipes but still really good and a quick eat.

RE: BBQ Bologna Recipe
What I've done in the past is this. Go to the deli and get good beef bologna in about 1/2" slices. Sear the bologna on a foreman or other grill. Coat the slices in sauce wrap and Jalepeno slices/juice. Then wrap the slices like a loaf in Aluminum foil. Bake the loaf until it is cooked enough for your taste. Serve the BBQ bologna with a thick slice of American or cheddar cheese on a toasted bun. Mayo, sauce, or mustard per each person's taste. I don't have a grill around anymore so it was an indoor venture. Its cheap and good.

I thought about cooking some on a grill and was considering the different methods.

I'm country; what can I say?

Then you are using a hunk of Velveeta on it, but just won't admit it.

Chop it?

Unless you are making sandwiches, it is easier to cube it into bite size pieces.
