Have to go with win @UofL........

We MUST HAVE the Keg of Nails back! And to do it in the Pizza Box would be SWEET! Besides that, you frickers handed us our FIRST loss last year and took a bit of the wind from our sails.

Go Cats!

I couldn't agree more #1 04-bow 04-rock Collectively, I want to beat the trio of Pitt, WVU and UL, but, the Cards streak over us has been two games longer than the other two, obviously dating back to C-USA. And, before that one win, JLS had been doing a dance on us for another four years:

Oct. 3rd, 1998 at Louisville 19 - 62 L
Nov. 6th, 1999 Louisville 13 - 23 L
Oct. 14th, 2000 at Louisville 24 - 38 L
Oct. 27th, 2001 Louisville 13 - 28 L
Nov. 7th, 2002 at Louisville 24 - 14 W
Nov. 28th, 2003 Louisville 40 - 43 L
Nov. 27th, 2004 at Louisville 7 - 70 L
Oct. 22nd, 2005 Louisville 22 - 46 L
Oct. 14th, 2006 at Louisville 17 - 23 L
Oct. 13th, 2007 Louisville 24 - 28 L

So that makes nine out of ten for the birdies. That makes the Keg priority #1 05-mafia

Ironic that one of our better streaks vs. the Ville was during, by far, the darkest decade in UC football history:

Nov. 8th, 1980 at Louisville 0 - 20 L
Nov. 14th, 1981 Louisville 24 - 0 W
Sep. 11th, 1982 Louisville 38 - 16 W
Sep. 24th, 1983 at Louisville 23 - 31 L
Oct. 27th, 1984 Louisville 40 - 21 W
Oct. 19th, 1985 at Louisville 31 - 9 W
Oct. 4th, 1986 Louisville 24 - 17 W
Sep. 12th, 1987 at Louisville 25 - 0 W
Oct. 29th, 1988 Louisville 6 - 21 L
Sep. 30th, 1989 at Louisville 17 - 37 L

You could see them beginning to reap the benefits of Howard starting 1988. UC still holds a 26-20 lead, but, given UC won the first 12 through 1969, I consider the overall record meaningless.

USF and WVU to be unbeaten going in to thier game in Dec, and USF walk into WVU on a cold night and beat the Mountaineers claiming the BCS bid.

CINCY!!! We have never beaten them and we get them at home. West Virginia would also be a nice victory, though their bus would have to malfunction to be able to beat them.

Winning at RU would be nice, but beating Cincy is critical.

As a Syracuse fan I want them all (since we have been so bad the past the three years), but the conference game I want to win the most would be West Virginia.

But the game I most want us to win is against Penn State. 03-wink

Cheers,
Neil

Yeah, because we only missed by six days the last time we played up there...

This year, the temperature will be around freezing, with high winds and precipitation. Bet on it. Your boys from Florida will be too busy looking for the heater to play well.

USF won on a cold late Nov day at Pitt last year, a week before Pitt knocked off WVU! I think it was around 32F that day putting to bed the notion that USF can't win in cold weather.

RE: What BE game do you want more than anything..
WVU's biggest game from a rivalry standpoint every year is Pitt, and it will be particularly big this year considering last year's result, and also both teams should be fairly high in the BE standings. It will be a meaningful game, in addition to the rivalry.

WVU/USF will also be a huge game, because if the predictions are accurate (and who knows if they will be) this could be the game for the BE title.

But the fact is there will be no easy outs in the BE and any other game could end up being the most important as the season goes on.

So all things considered if I could pick the one we could win, I'd take Pitt :)

This is just a bit off topic but hell, no one stays on task on this board. I would love to see a team in conference go undefeated and be invited to the BCS championship game. Who? Don't know and don't particularly care since it doesn't appear it will be the Cardinals....but I would be willing to root for another team even against my beloved birds if it meant an undefeated season for them. Now that cheering would be wasted if they beat my birds and then went on to loose to someone else. GOOD LUCK BE.

RE: What BE game do you want more than anything..
That's not off the subject. USF and WVU could very well be playing for a spot in the BCS Championship game, if both handle their earlier games like expected. I don't see Auburn beating WVU in Morgantown. They will have more time to get used to their new spread offense before they come up, but it won't help. The Mountaineer defense has the best spread offense in college football to practice against.

USF gets a break by facing Kansas at home. Let's see The BEast put another whipping on the Big XII. 05-mafia

This could be another year like 2004 if things go well for both schools. We'll know for sure by December...

1. WVU: trophy game, border war, hard hitting with speed
2. UC: trophy game, border war, tradional long standing rival
3. USF: tough team, evenly powerful
4. Rutgers: seems to always be something at stake when we play
5. Pitt: still a name brand
6. UConn: not really important other than a conference game
7. Cuse: who cares, other than it's a conference game

Maybe your team had that same attitude last year when they lost to the Cuse at home. I bet they care now.

The Orange weren't winless in conference last year. Wasn't it nice to be able to get that shot in, cuse? 07-coffee3

Look at the question smart guy. It asks about the game "I" want most, not the team, the admin, or the greater fan base. Personally, I could care less about Cuse. It's a team named after a fruit, with a mascot that looks like a fruit, way up north in an area that never crosses my mind. Why should I care about Cuse? Yeah, they beat us last year. All teams lose and every dog will have it's day. Good luck this year! Go Orange! What should I cheer for 3-5 wins or a winless season so you can get a new coach?

As long as straying from the topic doesn’t result in an ensuing sh!tstorm, fine with me Topper.

You just better hope that you dont lose at the Dome, which is very possible, and likely. You got like 6 starters returning from a team that lost to the worst team in the BE, and your coach got out coached by the worst coach in the BE and possibly D1a fb. Your team might be the team to get 3-5 wins.

For all of you classy Louisville fans, and there are many of you, I mean no offense. I realize that most of you guys refuse to kick a guy while he's down. But this person is not like the rest of you guys.
