RE: Our own Big East Predictions
The Mountaineers were 11-2 the last 2 seasons, and fans weren't too upset by the 2 losses. There was just one that really hurt - Pitt last year. I don't think WVU fans will be traumatized by a loss or 2, but any more might get some ire.

bit
Is all about when and who the losses come to. In both cases WV was winning or in the running for the BE title till the end. Lets say both those losses happen among BE members knocking WV from BE title and BCS bowls, youll see many unhappy WV fans start calling for anew HC.

Possibly. But if injuries, or some other factor not under his control effects the team, I don't think he'll have a problem.

However, none of this will be neccessary. The Mountaineers will be fine. You've just listened to the talking heads too much, Cuban. Your fears are unjustified.

RE: Our own Big East Predictions
1. USF -- needs to become more consistent; otherwise another mediocre 4-3 finish; I think the Bulls take care of business this year.
2. WVA -- offense could potentially be better but lost too much on defense
3. UCONN -- young team that can run the ball that learned how to win last year, flukes or not, that experience doesn't go away
4. PITT -- they could easily compete with the Orange for the cellar, or compete for a BCS bowl game; lack of an experienced QB is a problem
5. UC -- darkhorse; if they get consistent QB play they can play with anyone; Kelley gets too cute for his own good...see USF game last year
6. UL -- Krag's team will be good next year...if he survives the 2008 campaign
7. Rutgers -- loss of their emotional leaders on offense and defense turns this into a rebuilding year; not sold on Teel
8. Syracuse -- Coach Robinson should be a hot commodity as an assistant coach by mid-November

True. But there have been successful transitions too. Also, it's not like Rodriguez was at WVU forever. He's not Knute Rockne or Bear Bryant. History will bear me out on this.

RE: Our own Big East Predictions
No matter how it ends up..THIS year is going to be something special in the BE I have a feeling...pretty much going to be a WAR each week during conference....teams mostly even top to bottom and lot of hungry programs trying to make their mark!!!!

Can't wait til the season starts so we can talk about games, smack talk, etc....the 2,000 BE expansion posts are getting very old.
