LOL. Well Im for one im NOt happy that we signed a 1-1 deal with them since we had 2-1 with FIU and FAU. But I have no problem with not playing UCF for a few years.

You guys might not like it but its our decision. Im not going to tell any other scholl who should they play or not.

LOL. no EXCUSES. Im not like some of you guys that spin your schools decisions no matter what.
It was a BAD deal. As I said I dont mind playing WKU if it was a 2-1 deal or had we signed another team for a 1-1. If we had 2-1 deals with other sunbelt teams we should had strived for that.
But I can clearly understand not playing UCF yearly at this time.

RE: USF signs 1 for 1 with Western Kentucky
So here are USF's 2009-2010 schedules
2009
@Indiana
@Western Kentucky
@UConn
@Rutgers
@Pitt
@Syracuse
Wofford
FIU
Miami
Cincy
Louisville
West Virginia

2010
@Florida
@Miami
@Cincy
@Louisville
@West Virginia
Samford
FAU
UConn
Western Kentucky
Pitt
Rutgers
Syracuse
So 2010 we play 7 home games but the 5 away games are killers. As I said I have no problems with the WKU signing its obvious we were going for a softer opponent, just dont like the deal of 1-1 since we got 2-1 with FAU and FIU

Your obsession with South Florida is uncomfortable yet amusing.

Side note: You do know what you're doing is akin to a "little" school crying about the "bigger" school not playing them and throwing a hissy fit right?

That article is amusing because it accuses South Florida of ducking Central Florida even though UCF has whipped them 3 straight years. I could understand if USF beat UCF 3 times over a 7 or 8 year period, but three straight years and they're running from UCF!? Then it says that the other schools gave WKU a 2 for 1 deal while USF is giving them a one-for-one deal thus USF is weak. Well, unlike those schools, USF will play WKU when they're a Division 1-A school and have a full compliment of scholarships, big difference.

First claw lets understand this, that was the USF beat writer that wrote that. He is the biggest cheerleader usf has so he if he is calling it like that, well, you do the math.

Second, I just posted the link, that is all I did. What you read into it is your issue, not mine.

most BE teams are going to have to do similiar to get a home game. Either that or play more D1AA, which is usually worse. So what?

Hats off to USF for remembering where they came from. WKU is a struggling new program and needs a big time Big East program like USF to visit and pump up their ticket sales. The Big East will need to continue to cultivate relationships like this until we add a football member or two to ease scheduling issues.

Western Kentucky will likely give us a better game than UCiF. It also illustrates how far USF will go to NOT be associated with UCiF.

I guess we will just have to play Boston College, NC State, Wisconsin, and Miami instead with 1-1's. I'm not sure if we will survive to be honest.

LOL. fantastic for you guys then. So why are you guys then SO INTERESTED in who we play?

You cant have it both ways. Obviously you guys want us more than we do. I dont see any USF fans crying in the Florida's or FSU boards about signing series with BYU or Air Force and not playing us?

I would rather play teams in the region over us playing Buffalo and I'm sure your fans would be honest and say it is better than WKU.

I'm sure both teams will be fine going different directions. With increased travel costs it really makes sense to play, but whatever. I think the crowds grew every year and T.V gets better every year. The game moved to ESPNU last year and it will be ESPN2 primetime this year.

Gonna have to cheer on my alma mater in those games, sorry Bulls, but the Tops are on the upswing right now. Just added 15-18k on their stadium to become D1 elgibile. Things are looking up for them since winning the D1AA championship

Also exciting to see them have UK, Alabama, and Vtech in one year. Wish UL could get that committment from all three teams in 1 year.

and if you are really honest about the situation, you would also agree that at this point in time UCF has MORE to gain in playing USF than the other way around. Just like I can understand UF and FSU being in no hurry to play the Bulls because those games do more for USF than for them.
Is a reality of being in a BCS conference. If UCF was in a BCS conference then I would see the games as a no brainer. But right now USF has an advantage in being in Big East and they are in no hurry to give UCF any shot at negating that advantage. You might not like it but it is a fact.

You could if it wasn't a good chance you'd beat them!

Your opinion only that he's a "cheerleader" for USF. I'm guessing he posted one positive article about USF and you labelled him a cheerleader. Just because you do articles on a team or cover them doesn't necessarily make you a cheerleader. But, as I said, you seem to be bitter that USF isn't playing you. This post by you proves that:

Quote:Just posted the information. I will leave the excuses up to you.

What excuses? That you're still throwing a hissy fit because the USF-UCF series is cancelled? You sound like someone who can't accept the fact that USF has moved on.
