i was trying to say that even if we lost out on our top 1 or 2 recruits pastner is still going to attract other top players that are not on our list right now ...how hard was that

well this is the first new news for next next year
with stephenson out its oneless player but with gaddy in its one more
but look its either john wall or gaddy
everyone is saying wall heads to memphis which means i want xavier henry or another top 15-20 recruit i dont go for both wall and gaddy
boynton, mcdonald, henry, buckner, maybe harris if he doesnt qualify (wouldnt that push him back a class?)

Wild Bill re-read your post. The guys we are recruiting will sign other places, NOT Memphis, and we will end up signing other players we have not heard of.... all the while tying in a point that this is because of Pastner.

I would think the oppisite. We recruited at a high level before Pastner so I would assume adding one of the best know recruiters around would only elevate our ability to sign top players.

If you were not saying that then I got ya...

I get what you're saying about Pastner, but I still don't understand why you said Henry is going to Kansas. It's still 50-50, and if we're no longer recruiting Stephneson, I think our odds will only go up with him. We still have a very good chance of landing both Wall and Henry, so there's no call for negativity.

where do you see negativity there is no negativity meant or stated. this is more like a message of don't worry we're gonna be ok. and henry's dad and family are really pushing him to kansas (he's from oklahoma which is big 12 country,and i know tulsa is close) cal and pastner are really going to battle to get this kid and wall had us on top but now he's visited kentucky twice and is being quoted talking about how much he likes uk, the players, and coaches. i'm not saying we aren't gonna be able to sign these guys but its not getting any easier but pastner will attract other players that weren't on our radar if plan a & b fail.

If Henry is no longer interested than could be because the staff is different. No Kellogg or Martin. In an earlier interview he bragged about the family atmosphere here with the assistants. That will have to be redeveloped.
