Canada Tournament
I'm hearing that we will be playing in pre-season tournament in Canada. These tournaments are nice because you can get around certain NCAA restrictions with respect to practice time and get a head start on building chemistry.

RE: Canada Tournament
I think someone else in our league did this a couple years ago. Basically you just go around playing Canadian teams.

RE: Canada Tournament
I think that Lipscomb did it if I remember correctly. You are going to play a bunch of scrub Canadian Club teams (no pun intended). You will win each game by about 50 points ... the best part about it is that you will be able to practice for a couple of weeks in August, and get a head start on the season. Good decision by your coaches.

Surmacz.

Now what was Bartow thinking ?

Of course, some on the old board thought he was D1 material. The rest of us wisely knew otherwise.

He would cry if he saw Hamlin coming his way.

RE: Canada Tournament
You all do know that Surmacz played for Kirkwood, a perennial NJCAA II power and he played there at the same time
Hamlin and Tiggs played at Mott? The two teams didn't play each other that year but Kirkwood was the #2 ranked
team in that year and lost to the #1 ranked team by 1 in the fnals. I think he was used to that level of competition.

RE: Canada Tournament
I'm pretty sure he pulled most of that information straight off the board.
