RE: Markeith Cummings
YES! Love to see the official announcement...and now that I see one of the Savannah boys on there, this spacing out way of doing it is really good for the individual players...rather than release them all as a group, they each get their own time to shine.

RE: Markeith Cummings
Nice little article about Markeith from a Summer Tournament

The RBK Summer Championships lacked the star power that the Reebok Bigtime Tournament had in years past but turned out to be an exciting event.

Players from all across the country, including Belgium and Canada came to "Sin City" to show-off their game.

The following is a list of the Top 20 Seniors and 5 underclassmen who's name you will see and hear
at the next level and possibly beyond.
18. Markieth Cummings 6'6 SF Brunswick, GA. (Smyrna Stars)
Markieth spent the entire time in Vegas playing out of position at power forward, but more than held his own in the post with his strength and athleticism. Defended bigger players in the paint and locked down smaller players on the wing. Excellent on the glass, runs the floor very well and jumps out of the gym. Just when I was going to say that he has an NBA body, I found out that he is a big time D-1 football prospect at quarterback. Body and game very similar to former UNC Tar heel David Noel.

RE: Markeith Cummings
Noel was drafted in the 2nd round of that NBA draft for his mere athleticism. Noel wasn't a great basketball player...so comparisons to Noel's athleticism is high praise. I don't know if Markeith is quite that athletic, but I think he might be a little further along with his basketball talent than Noel at this point in his life.
