Damn, NO one got my little rhyme? BTW, I wasn't calling you a "little man", JH. Just making a joke, or a reference to a certain movie. Pretty much the greatest movie of all time.

Also, what's the stop people from taking the radio-controlled thermostats off their walls and replacing it with one from Home Depot? Are they going to put those little plastic covers over them? Ridiculous.

Why not follow the very green and very liberal Vermont's plan and go Nuke? They lead the nation in it. Most of their energy comes from nuclear facilities.

The reference is completely lost on me. What's the movie?

I didn't suggest it because I thought it would be rather out-of-character for Californians to advocate nuclear energy. I really don't have a problem with it. Solar, wind, nuclear, geothermal, California can take it's pick.

Vermont is very liberal as well, yet they are also very nuclear. As for wind, that could work for them also with the Santa Anna (I think) winds? When I was in Maui in April of '06 they were hauling up these huge props up the West Maui mountains. They said they would produce about 70% of Maui's power needs. Problem is is liberal hypocrisy. I.e., liberal "elite" hypocrisy. The same type you saw from Ted Kennedy when he opposed the wind farm off of "his" coast.

I never really liked Ted Kennedy. Like you pointed out, he's a hypocrite and it's not just the wind farm in Massachusetts.

I'm not opposed to nuclear power. I'm not saying that nuclear power and liberalism can't coincide, so I don't know where you're going with your first point.

I think you could equally put blame at the feet of conservatives for not advocating anything at all. Partisanship is the problem here. This boils down to the simple question of do you want to fix America's energy problems or do you want to sit on your hands and wait for someone else to figure it out?
