Just wondering. Do they stay out near campus or downtown at the Peabody (nearer to FEF)? Or are they hidden away out in the suburbs?

I would assume that the recruits would stay at the Holiday Inn on Central.

i think they stay with a selected player on campus...isn't that why Jeff Robinson was there to greet them?

The recruit stays at the players' palace where he picks out his fur coat and Escalade. Then Coach Cal takes the recruit to the Plush Club and make it rain. After staying there way past midnight since good things always happen after midnight, they head to Senses. There they partake in the tradition of throwing a size 11 shoe through the window.

I thought that it was the Plush club.

I heard there's hotel like vip rooms on one of the upper floors of the fogleman administration building on campus that the players often stay.

Its amazing how many bonehead answer you get when you ask a simple question. I think that they stay at the campus hotel. I seem to remember someone mention that during a previous visit. Its not just the player he didn't travel by himself. Jeff is probably his escort, but I doubt they spend the night in the same place.

My post is not any more bonehead than yours and the others posted. None of you yahoos posted any concrete answers either. They are all guesses.

Oh, by the way mine was a bonehead answer. It should have been size 17 shoes, not size 11.

Boneheaded responses to questions should not bother anyone that is, or has been, married. You should be experienced enough by now to know how to deal with them.

Most of the time, on visits, recruits stay with other student-athletes of the same sport.

Yes, but before Plush, Andre is responsible to take recruits to pick up women. However, all recruits must head back to Red Roof Inn (where they leave the light on) before 2am...Cal always said nothing good can happen after 2 in the morning.

And then they go pick up suitcases full of money from the FedEx runways at the airport.

I would think someone who has the head mother as an avatar would have higher standards, but whatever.

He spoke of his mother having a lot of questions for Coach Cal which would indicate she is also along on the trip.

As far as the bonehead remark it wasn't necessarily meant of you or this thread. It could apply to several threads and could even include myself.

I stayed at the Holiday Inn several times when we came in from Dallas for a game. One morning there was a Memphis golf coach and a family sitting in the table next to us and the coach was recruiting them (family and player) during the breakfast. I was assuming that they stayed in the Holiday Inn that night. With families coming with players, it would make more sense for them to stay at the Holiday Inn.
