Not anymore. This is today's article and the release is confirmed by Coach Hartwell, Morgan's AAU coach. The Morgans are just getting all the paperwork straight in order to make the release go off without a hitch. I would like to see Memphis get involved, but UCLA makes alot of sense, since they are losing Kevin Love and Morgan can't make anymore official visits. He burned all five going to Cincinnati, UCLA, LSU, Kansas, and Alabama. Maybe Cal could get an in home visit with him and convince him and his family to take an unofficial visit to Memphis before deciding.

Certainly would take him but he isn't the type of player that we normally recruit. He is more of a post up guy like Love.

I completely agree. He's a little on the slow side and is similar to Kevin Love. I doubt he'd be interested in us either. He's stated publicly numerous times that he's looking for a school that plays "inside out" - which is certainly not our office.

The interesting comment was mainly because his eventual commitment will change the landscape of college basketball next year. He could be the guy that puts a team over the hump.

Plus I wanted to see how many people would start to scramble about to say this is Mystery X.

I guess one could argue that Morgan getting released and the asst from Arizona potentially coming here (who is connected in Texas) could mean there is a shot of getting him. Only problem is it looks like Arizona was never on Morgan's short list. (according to Rivals)

Hey Dogg - those are some good dots to connect! Zona assistant with Texas travel team connections persuades former LSU recruit to play at Memphis which is "close to home". Whineburger will report on this as a scoop in oh... about 3 days. Right when the guy announces for UCLA.
