Neither of my dogs Hooker or Godzilla have ever raised taxes. I will admit that on the surface sounds like an idiotic statement. Yet it is no less idiotic that the statements made by Travis Childers. Some of the attack ads on Davis are claiming that Childers NEVER raised taxes. Ever stop and wonder that may be because a Chancery Clerk doesn't have taxing authority. He couldn't raise or lower tax rates if he wanted to.

Childers also berates Davis because Davis would not pledge not to take money from big oil. On the surface Childers claim not to take money from big oil may look good until you realize that Federal law (Tilman Act 1907) prohibits any corporations from giving money directly to anyone running for Federal office.

Is it no wonder why it is that everytime I see Childers and his pencil mustache i keep expecting to see Dudley Do Right coming riding up.

If a man can stoop this low to try and get in office you have to wonder what he would do after he gets there.

Remember Heath Shuler ran as a conservative Democrat in NC only to vote to elect Nancy Pelosi as speaker of the house.
