Pitino to Mavs?
Why the hell would he want to go back to the NBA? Ego? Money? Both?

The man is obviously a glutten for punishment if its true, and maybe somewhat foolish. But I have a hard time believing its true.

RE: Pitino to Mavs?
i doubt he would go to the pro game again. and i don't understand why the mavs would even be interested in pitino... hes a great college coach and thats it... sorta like petrino, spurrior ect. most college coaches in any sport do not make great pro coaches. there are exceptions.

RE: Pitino to Mavs?
I doubt it. Pitino tried out the NBA with Boston and that failed. I'd only see him going back to a team that is to be a contender. I strongly feel that Dallas and Phoenix are about to hit a down period and I think that Dallas job is not going to be a piece of cake.

I think that Dallas is probably going to scoop up Rick Carlisle.

Gregg Doyel is a Cincy fan and an idiot who hates UofL and Pitino; his opinion means nothing to us. Here is Doyel from an article from last December:

"Don't get me wrong. I'm not mad at Caracter. You ask me, he's welcome to stay at Louisville as long as he wants. His continued presence makes Pitino look awful, and I'm all about anything that makes Pitino look awful".

RE: Pitino to Mavs?
After what Pitino went through the first time around, I doubt he goes to the NBA.
