KENNESAW, Ga. - Kennesaw State head coach Tony Ingle has announced that former Auburn forward Matt Heramb, has signed with the Owls for the 2008-09 season in an announcement made this morning at the KSU Convocation Center.

Heramb, who played two seasons for the Tigers, was granted a release from his scholarship to Auburn on April 11 and will join the Owls as a redshirt for the upcoming season.

`We are excited that Matt has decided to continue his basketball career with the Owls," said Ingle this morning. "He should be able to help us because he's a very versatile player who can play multiple positions."

Wooohooo! Glad to see this is official. His brother was a walk-on for us if I remember, and he seemed like a real good kid, and a pretty tough player. Glad to have another Heramb in the Kennesaw family. I hope he can come here, and work to fulfill his massive potential.

Agreed. An athletic big man could cause huge matchup problems. I also look for him to give us a quality guy to practice against this year. Just because he can't play doesn't mean he can't help improve our guys can that can.

Excellent! We keep the people of this recruiting class for our first year of elligibility and we could be seeing something great starting at Kennesaw. Probationary periods are just weird for everyone involved. Ingle knows how to recruit, especially when his back isn't against the wall.
