Looking for landscape design company
The missus and I would like to freshen up the curb appeal of our front yard and need someone who can assist with a bit of landscape design. It wouldn't be a large job ($1,000 to $1,500 available budget), but we're willing to pay someone just for design ideas even if it means I have to do a lot of heavy lifting myself.
Obviously, I prefer to do business with Tiger fans...any suggestions?

Well about a month late now, so you may have already gone with somebody, but we've used Agriscapes several times and they are top notch. Ask for Johnny.

As a former landscaper, my advice is to drive around neighborhoods and see what you (and more importantly, your wife) likes in terms of design features. If you don't know the type of plants used in those yards you like, just go ask. Most people are flattered by that anyway.
When you figure out the design you like and the type plants you want, go to Dabney nursery on Hacks Cross at Stateline and buy it yourself, if you are planning on doing the work as you say. They are very knowledgable and can tell you about what needs to be in the shade vs. full sun, how big things get, etc. etc. They also have alot of the hardware you will need (stones, rocks, etc.) And you will save a TON of money that way. Normal landscape pricing is cost of materials times 3.
My 2 cents.
