The MWC however is a much deeper conference and will get that 5th elgible team.

How about the Big East again out west? If they really want to play BCS that badly.

The MAC has no interest in Papa, starting a game in Dix Stadium or any other low quality operation, sorry. The same would go for Boise, I don't see the MAC wanting to tie in there. The MAC is more than happy to be light on bowl tie-ins.
You are counting on the Rocky Mountain Bowl being approved. That is not a guarantee. I knew about St. Petersburg and Washington DC for months but never read one word about Salt Lake City until Thursday. That should tell you a whole bunch because I am very tuned in to these kinds of things.

Click this link to the Deseret News website and read the extremely negative reaction by MWC fans to this bowl idea. Some people are even threatening to write to the NCAA Subcommittee and ask them to not approve the game. Great support. Not. I think this bowl gets turned down, the MWC stays at four, and the WAC picks up the Emerald as their fourth in 2010.

You say the MAC has no interest in taking over our spot in the Papa John's Bowl. If the MAC gets bumped out of the GMAC Bowl by the Sun Belt, you will need a replacement, and Rick Chryst will say yes to the first offer he gets. What fans want and what real life conditions dictate are often different.

Rick will never bend over for a bowl!

Cinci to Birmingham is an 8 hour drive. The MAC would love a bowl game that is drivable for many of their fans. Yes we all know the MAC bends over no no one.
