Students will ***** about any and everything. I can be pretty cranky now at 28, but I really hope I wasn't half as bad as some of the college students I hear today.

The necklace was not worried about grabbing ass in SA. He and the blonde from the internet were all over each other and posing for pictures for anyone who asked.

I think TN was the last SEC school not to charge their students for tickets. The only other BCS school I can think of that doesn't is Notre Dame.

I'll bet that they pay a hefty student activity fee. Now, they have to pay for student football tickets on top of that.
I would complain too!

UTK only has about $25 student fee and it is for women's sports
I know few BCS schools that make students pay $400 a year in athletic student fees. I guess they can start making Memphis students paying for tickets, but when a dozen do such it won't look good.

Well let's say they have 8 home games next year. At $15 a ticket you are going to pay $120 for seats. Even if you opt for the "deal" at $90 that's still a lot of change for most college kids. Remember those days of living off of ramen?
That being said, I don't know if they are the last SEC school to give in to this, but they aren't alone. My friends at Bama have to pay around $20 I think, and student tickets are distributed to upperclassmen first--upperclassmen who often turn around and sell those seats for triple that or more. At least that's the understanding I came to from talking to them.

RE: NTR tennessee students
If I understand correctly the website.
At Ole Miss you have the ability to purchase season tickets for football and mens basketball. If you give $25 to the UMAA then you are able to purchase them earlier.
With this said, I think the University of Memphis needs to distribute season tickets at the beginning of the season with a few available on a per-game basis. Charge $25-$50 for the right to obtain tickets early. I am a firm believer in the merits of this system. I think it helps to transition students into TSF members.

I have no idea what the fees or tickets are at Ole Miss right now, but the last year I was a student, I'm pretty sure it was $49 for 7 home games. The thing is, the students have absolutely no right or entitlement to be given tickets. So much of the student body at all schools is so apathetic toward sports, as it is. Even the ones that do go to the games show up late, leave early, etc...

The $25 given to UMAA served three purposes: (1) you were guaranteed tickets; (2) you didn't have to wait in line; and, (3) that $25 was treated as a $250 donation to the Loyalty Foundation. So, by the time you graduated and started buying tickets at full price, you already had enough priority points to where you wouldn't automatically start at the bottom of the list. I've got aisle seats around the 30 yard line and, although I'm going to give them up to move closer to the center of the field, those are pretty good seats and I wouldn't have nearly that many priority points had my wife and I not given our $25 to the UMAA so many times during our time in school.
