3 Football questions for your school
Who do you think will be your:

A) Toughest Game
B) Easiest Game
C) Most Important Game

As a Louisville fan I have the follwing opinions:
A) Pitt - They gave away the game to us on a late goal line fumble and I am sure they will be itching to wail on us for that. Plus it is at Heinz field and they have a great class incoming with a lot of talent returning.

B) Tennessee Tech - We tend to blow away our 1AA opponents as we should. Although I am not sure any game will be easy, I think it will be the easiest on our schedule.

C) Kentucky - Normally I would put a conference team here but I dont think we will be involved in the hunt for the BE title. Kragthorpe has to beat the in-state rival in the first game of the season or the fans that still believe in him will quickly turn against him and things will be far uglier than they were last year.

RE: 3 Football questions for your school
WVU's toughest game will probably be Auburn. They've historically played their best in road games at strong opponents. Look at their recent history if you need examples.

I think we can nominate either Marshall or Villanova for the Mountaineers easiest game. Take your pick.

The most important game will be which ever game is next on West Virginia's slate. There are no unimportant games. They're all important. 05-mafia

Toughest game - @Oklahoma
Easiest - Eastern Kentucky
Most Important - @West Virginia or @Louisville, two huge monkeys we must get off our back if we want to consider ourselves among the elite of the Big East.

I'd go with @Louisville considering the rivalry aspect also. If we win at UL (I think we will) I think we'll at least be co-champs of the BE.

Toughest: Depends if the O-Line decides to show up
Easiest: San Diego State
Most Important game: The next one on the schedule

For USF, I would go with

Toughest: Cincy, its away, 5 days after playing at UL and they had our number.

Easiest: Opener vs Tenn- Martin

Most Important: The one that is for the BE title. This team has the talent, is deeper and more experienced than any previous USF team so not playing for the title would be alet down for most fans.

Syracuse
A) Toughest Game--I'd guess @ WVU
B) Easiest Game--Hosting Northeastern
C) Most Important Game--First game @ Northwestern If win that then Penn State in the Dome becomes absolutely huge.

RE: 3 Football questions for your school
Toughest: @WVU. It’ll be late in the season, and I’m sure their defense will be rebuilt at that point. Close runner-up is @OU, but they have a lot of cogs to replace on D, and it’ll be more likely to get them early than WVU late.

Easiest: EKU. I think these I-AA games go away after 2009 for UC.

Most important: Aside from the next game, Cincy04 is dead on about getting the collective monkey off our backs. But, in addition to WVU/UL, you can throw Pitt in there, as we haven’t beaten them either.

Hmm....for ECU:

Toughest:

Our entire OOC slate is pretty tough (VT, WVU, @NC State, @UVa), and when you add in our game @Southern Miss, it is really hard to pick which one will be the "toughest".

Easiest:

Never say a game is "easy", but on paper, UAB is really struggling, and is probably a few seasons from getting back on it's feet....so I'd probably say the Blazers if there was a gun to my head....

Most Important:

That's easy....the next game.....but seriously, each CUSA game is "most important" to ECU this season....we have literally given away opportunities to play for the CUSA crown the past 2 seasons, and I hope and pray this is the season we seal the deal.....

Pirate fans have been circling '08 for some time now as the year that we could really make some noise...we'll just have to see.....VT may be a little down this season, and we have WVU at home.....those first two weeks should be very interesting.....04-cheers

Cap, I don’t think VT will be so much down this year as they were overrated last year.

RE: 3 Football questions for your school
They lost a ton.....so we'll see....

We played them pretty well straight up last year in B'burg, throwing a pick for a TD deep in our territory, and giving up another one on a horrible blown coverage, losing 17-7......

Our D will be better this season, without question, and the offense is pretty much intact minus CJ....so it should be interesting....like I said, this is the season folks have had circled for the past 2-3 years as being one where we could make some noise.....

....obviously, I hope we do.....the schedule is brutal, but we've got unprecedented depth, and quite a bit back from a pretty good team last year....

You take what you can get. Any of your schools out there even offering Georgetown a game? Nope.

Georgetown has been upgrading its scholarships over the last 2-3 years. Its recruiting was rated 8th by Rivals.com in February among I-AA schools.

Have you heard that there haven't been any talks? I would wonder why there is no interest from a BE team needing to fill their schedule. I'd bet WVU would get quite a few fans from just the name alone.

A) @Pitt
B) Villanova
C) @Pitt

Yes the schedule is lame, but that is not the fault of G'town. I was referring to an upgrade from 1AA to 1A. It sounds like they are doing some good things that I didn't know about.

I was referring to all the 1-AA opposition on that schedule myself. It should be all 1A schools on there, and Georgetown should be playing all of us every year.

Villanova should too.
