Im very surprised about this score, we have a very young baseball team that just lost a series to Gtown at home.

UCF had their softball team put on the baseball uniforms last night as an April Fool's Day Joke.

Oh wait...just found out they didn't...as if they did...the score would have been much CLOSER!

I take it the softball team @ UCF is good, and the baseball team isn't.

Clearly UCF is the better school athletically this year."

It must suck to be a UCiF fan b/c they invest so much of their feelings of self-worth on beating USF.

USF's baseball future is looking bright, as the Bulls have commitments from 4 of the Top 12 best baseball prospects in the talent rich State of Florida.

UCF's incoming baseball class was ranked as high as 7th in the nation but college baseball rankings are almost meaningless...since many of these top HS players will be drafted in this year's MLB draft...and some (not all) will end up signing MLB contracts (minor league play) instead.

LOL, has UCF managed to beat USF in anything at all this year, even if it was just tiddlywinks, nerf football or pocketpool?
I mean that is total, utter, complete domination. The worst part of all is that UCF cant even use the bcs advantage excuse in anything, other than fb.

Cheerleading...as the 2007 National Cheerleading Champs (UCF) finished 3rd in 2008 as Univ of Kentucky regained the #1 spot again for the 16th time and Univ of Tennessee came in 2nd this year.

Besides Water Skiing and Surfing...UCF's Cheerleading Squad is the only other unit to bring home a national title (2003 and 2007).

Actually, for many programs "Spirit Team" (Cheerleading, Dance Team, etc...) does fall under "Athletics".

At other schools...it does not.

Hey now--CUSA has 2 of the Top 5 cheerleading schools in the US...they are a friggin powerhouse conference. Now if we offer UCF and Memphis cheerleading only membership--will they take it or are we not in the same league as CUSA.

I would take the Memphis Cheerleaders and Dance Team in heartbeat.

Cheerleading is cool. It takes incredible athleticism and coordination. I'll back anyone who says todays cheerleading is more like a sport than an activity. UofL has won multiple National Championships in cheering and the dance team has too. I'm not so high on dance teams though. That being said... you know what I really don't like about UCF? It's the name. Central just sounds so amateur and bush league. It sounds like a junior college or NAIA school. I know UCF has a lot of great things, but dang, why'd they choose the name Central (I know about Geography)? They never should have changed from Tech. Heck adding an A&M on the end would be better than Central. What about Florida College? Is that taken? Why not just call it University of Orlando (or some derivitive)? Okay, I'm done complaining for a while. Best to ya' Knights!
