Big East basketball rivalries
The BE has some of the best basketball rivalries. I still think there are games that should be played yearly, that aren't for whatever reason:

Cincinnati: Memphis, and do they play regional schools every year? I know the Cinci-Miami (OH) football rivalry is great. Is that played in hoops?

DePaul: Loyola (Chicago)

Georgetown: Maryland, GWU would be cool. I heard neither side is stepping up for the GU~Maryland game.

Louisville: Memphis

Notre Dame: Do they play Indiana yearly? Purdue? Didn't pay attention this year.

Pitt: I don't think they played Penn State this past season, but I could be wrong. I think they should play Penn State in everything.

For the most part all the great rivalries are being played. I know there are some others, I just can't think of them now.

Wisconsin-Marquette might be...I don't even know how often they play regularly or if at all.

Cincy plays Miami every year at Riverfront. Xavier is UC’s basketball rival. It’ll be nice to see UC recapture their former top-25 form so that game can be nationally meaningful again.

UL plays UK, but not Memphis.

Marquette does, in fact, play Wiscy.

They play every year, alternating the games between Milwaukee and Madison. They used to play twice most years (UW used to play in the Milwaukee Classic tourney every year), but that stopped about 20 years ago. Very bitter rivalry. Alums work together. Wisconsin fans are more pompous than ND fans. Why? I have no idea.

You are correct. Although, Pitt wanted to continue the BB series but PSUs coach did not. He wants to play more 'central and eastern PA schools'.

I think they only play each other in WBB, W gymnastics, baseball, and softball.

UC-Louisville in basketball used to be a great rivalry and these 2 should be playing home and home every year.

BC, Pitt, Penn State, Syracuse, and WVU should all play each other every year in all sports, just like we used to do.

That is something both 'Eer and Panther fans can agree on!

Considering we play both of those schools, and they no longer play each other, that commercial makes me realize how irrelevant UC basketball has become 03-weeping

Ha, says the MU fan.

It's tough being a Bearcat in Milwaukee.

UofL Guy: "Hmmm, I wonder if your the one who threw the open pocket knife at coach Crum?"

Memphis Guy: "Dang, I wonder if I'll get hit by a quarter in the head at this game?"

The two schools have played just once in the regular season since 1979.

Gary Williams doesn't want to split gate receipts. Besides, if he can get 17,950 to show up for a game with Savannah State, he's not going to do Georgetown any favors.

Yeah, I put that in there because the programs are so close and they are of near caliber.

Does either DePaul or Marquette still play St. Louis since realignment took place?
