A fitting end for the Mountaineers. They played hard but poor free throw shooting and clutch shots by Xavier at the end cost them. Amazed to see that with 1 for 10 with the 3's they were still in the game. It was a great game and Xavier certainly earned the victory.

Still a much better year then expected. Hats off to Huggins.

I hope that Alexander is getting good information. I would hate to see him get burned if he enters the draft. If he IS a first round pick he probably has to go.

I'm glad UofL sent the Vols home. I just wish Alexander hadn't missed that free throw. If he'd made it, there would have been no need for overtime.

Ah well. Things look good for next season. I think Alexander will be back.

Bit- Do you ever remember a year that had so many close and frustrating losses? I didn't catch the Tennessee game but I count four others. (Oklahoma,Georgetown, Pitt, Xavier) Some of that was poor play but quite a bit of bad luck was in there too. It's hard to beat a team when they pump in three 3's (no matter how open they are) at the end of a game.
