BE Basketball '09
I'm going on record right now saying the Big East will have a record nine teams invited to the Big Dance next year. Who among the teams invited this year will not be better? And The Cuse has been bouncing around on the bubbloe for a couple of years and will break out next year...that makes nine. Get ready for bitcha$$ed whining from the ACC and the other sisters of the poor. Oh yeah and the talking stiffs can put a sock in it too cause it's going to happen. We will not be denied.

I agree. I don't see any of these teams missing a step next season (I think GU will be down slightly, but still in the tourney). Plus, as you mentioned, 'Cuse will bring back most, if not all, of the team (depends on if Greene goes Pro, but I think he'll stay). These guys are young and now have a full year of experience under their belt. On top of that, Devendorf and Rautins will be back plus we've got Mooky Jones and a couple other great recruits...so we'll have depth, which is something we didn't have this year. This conference is going to be incredible next season.

It will be sick next year. No game will be easy. It will also be tough for bottom teams to climb up. However, BE teams will be better prepared for the NCAA than any other conference when it is said and done. BE should have sent 10 teams to the dance this year.

We're 7-1 after the first round so far. Bob Knight was emphatic on ESPN that the BE teams were so tourney ready because this was the toughest conference in the country. Something we've known all along, but which I thought would only be evident to the unbelievers once they saw how BE teams performed in the Dance. Awesome

It will be a huge battle next season. I don't think any of the tournament teams are losing a ton, but I do say that prior to NBA draft early entries, which could change things. Syracuse should be a ton better, and I actually think if Providence hires a decent coach, he'll be coming into a good situation in year 1. At least, as good as you could hope for at PU.
As for my super early guess, I think we could see a big divide around the old conference tournament cut off spot, even though all make it. I don't see any of this year's bottom 4 moving up much, and dump Seton Hall back into that bunch with who they lose. DePaul maybe moves up a spot or two, but not much more with Wainwright "coaching" them.

I don't think it will be to tough for bottom teams to climb. Cincinnati climbed up to 10th place and should have finished 8th but lost two games at home they shouldn't have and was, really, undermanned. It's conceivable that UC could be a Top 6 or 8 team next year. This conference is loaded for bear.

Syracuse will be top 10 next year if all the players return.
This league will be super tough next year.

Easily the toughest conference in America, and it gets you ready for the NCAAs. Two of the Big East teams only lost by 1 point in the tournament the other by 4.
