Thats about the way that I see it for the BE teams. BTW, I say that Nova is in. They can also win a couple of games too.

RE: Predictions for NCAA Seeds for BIG EAST Schools
Georgetown - 2 seed
Pittsburgh - 3 seed (because of their strong finish to the season and who they beat)
Louisville - 4 seed
Connecticut - 4 seed
Marquette - 5 seed
Notre Dame - 6 seed
West Virginia - 7 seed
Villanova - 10 seed
The Louisville and Pittsburgh one is hard to figure. They both have similar records and both have similar quality wins. But Pittsburgh finished the season stronger then Louisville and beat Louisville. In fact, they won 4 games in 4 nights including beating 3 straight Top 25 teams in 3 straight nights and winning a Big East title. I think that'll boost them to at least a #4 or #5 seed. Since the committee likes strong finishes that's my surprise pick.

By the way, expect a couple of those seeds to be off by one because of the S-Curve, especially with so many Big East teams in the tournament and many of them coming in with similar seed profiles.

Pitt has a very strong case for a 3 seed. When they lost their games they were mainly injured but they now have their guys back. Also beating Louisville, Marquette and Georgetown is very impressive.
Louisville will be a 3 because their resume is still stronger then everyone else around them except Pitt. Road wins at Top 30 UNLV, Pitt and Marquette and having the Number 6 SOS along with going 8-2 the final 10 games is very strong in it own right.

Villanova seems to have more Top 50 wins then a lot of bubble teams...If Va Tech get in over Nova it would be a crime

I'd drop UConn one seed and raise the Mountaineers one, based on their performances in The BEast tourney.

You can't really do that because all that tournament win did was get WVU into the tournament. You can't heavily adjust their seeding afterwards because WVU doesn't have many quality wins while Connecticut does.

I think Joe Lunardi is copying me
His updated Bracketology:
Georgetown - 2 seed
Pittsburgh - 3 seed
Louisville - 4 seed
Connecticut - 4 seed
Marquette - 5 seed
He has Notre Dame has a 4 seed interesting enough!
West Virginia - 7 seed
He still has Villanova just out. He has Illinois State in and I completely disagree with that.

You can't really do that because all that tournament win did was get WVU into the tournament. You can't heavily adjust their seeding afterwards because WVU doesn't have many quality wins while Connecticut does.
They take into account more factors than only quality wins. WVU has some quality close losses, and do you think they'd have lost if Joe Alexander played then the way he is playing now. The Mountaineers would have beaten Tennessee if Alexander was the player then he is now. And the official from the selection committee interviewed on ESPN mentioned several instances of consideration that were being used as criteria.
If they apply those fairly, it will help WVU.
If they don't...

Right on Georgetown, right on Louisville, right on UConn, right on Pitt, off on Marquette, they got a 6 seed instead of a 5 seed, off on Notre Dame they went higher with a 5 seed and right on West Virginia with the 7 seed. Glad Villanova got in with the 12 seed, like I said they were truly a bubble team.
