I don't know what happened to Cincy. Why do the players keep taking the ball to the middle when Thabeet blocked a bunch? He got 7 blocks already and it is only beginning of the 2nd half. Cincy needs to recruit a good big guy for next year.

I thought McClain was that player? Though just a freshman he seems to be a pretty good player from what I have seen this year.

Yeah true. He still got a lot to learn on offense but UCONN was interested in him at one point?

Also, I would take UCONN's front line against anyone in the nation. UCONN has a NBA style front line with Thabeet, Adrien, Edwards and Robinson. 5 Star recruit Curtis Kelley barely can get off the bench.

He is also hurt at the moment. May be back for the NCAA's. He has struggled this season. Not sure why either, he has moments when you go, Oh yeah, thats why we recruited him. Then next time down the court you wonder if this is his first game. Hes a puzzle.

I like Curtis, but he has to step it up more. Edwards who is not even a top 100 recruit is playing much better. This is why those rankings might not mean much. Calhoun is a good evaluator of talent.

Why does Calhoun still have his starters still in? I think he has already proven his point. We suck, UConn doesn't. Jeez this is ugly.

Thats so nice of him :)

I'm following the game on espn.com and I was just surprised when I saw that UConn was up 50 and then Thabeet is still in hitting shots with 3 minutes to go. But whatever, if we could stop somebody it wouldn't be this bad.

The game is on TV here right now (8PM ET) and the score is 4-3. You have no idea how weird it was to see this post. I was sure that was a typo until I read the rest of the thread.

Yeah it was ugly. Anytime your team loses by 45 it is pretty ugly. I hope UCONN is ready for the BET cause it will be a war. I want to see UCONN take on GTOWN again and take them down.

Very good UConn frontline but I think we can hang in The Ville with Terrence Williams, Earl Clark, David Padgett, Juan Palacois and Derrick Caracter. 05-mafia05-nono04-cheers

I agree. Thabeet is the best defensive center in college basketball that I've seen and Adrien is an explosive, powerful, versatile PF. You guys have the point guard that can take you a long way also. I think you will have the best tournament run of all the BE schools although I like the way UL's playing right now.

Ugly game...I'll leave it at that but Cincy has found it's next big man- Yancy Gates is the best big men in terms of raw talent that UC has ever seen...the last big man who had Yancy's blend of size and athleticism was Al Jefferson. With that said, Yancy is behind Jefferson in terms of skill and effort but at 6'10, 260 few players have his blend of athleticism, quickness, and strength. On the USA team he absolutely dominated Samardo Samuels and won in a head to head match-up with BJ Mullens. Now if Yancy wasn't such a lazy player the country would know how talented this kid truly is, he is the epitomoe of playing up and down to the competition. Add that with Mike Willaims and a year for Biggie to hit the weight room our frontcourt will be tremendously improved...just wish we could fast forward. With that said Mick has done a tremendous job with this truly undermanned team, 8 wins and a few heartbreaks from 10-12, I'll take that after 2 wins last season.

Yancy Gates, Samardo Samuels and Greg Monroe all coming to the BIG EAST next season. The best HS big men in the nation will be playing at UC, UofL and Georgetown that is going to be fun to watch.

Yup 03-lmfao

10-15 inches would have the schools on a 15 min delay in Upstate NY 04-cheers

A pic from northern Oswego County from 2007--this is real snow---fortunately Syracuse gets nothing compared to this area about 40 miles north

That's nuts.

In Chicago we have had more snow than I would wish on anyone this year. That said, we will have plenty of water this summer.

It's too bad we can't send some to Atanta or Raleigh. They still have drought conditions.

Terrence Jennings also has loads of potential for UL and will be a force on defense from day one. I also really like Chris Braswell's game for GTown, he's a banger...add that with super JUCO Keith Brumbaugh whose likely to end up at UConn, that's 6 players who really have 5 star potential and possible NBA futures.

RE: Cincy-UConn men's game delayed
TexanMark, you should have seen the snow I dealt with in Prudhoe Bay, Alaska. We tunnelled under in the worst part of winter. It was too cold to be outside.

Here in east Tennessee, if the ground turns white down here it's a bad winter. Folks in Tennessee don't know how to deal with snow, for the most part. It's funny. If snow is predicted here, there's a rush on the stores that empties all their shelves. All this for snow, that even in hard winters, only lasts a very short time. People still talk about the winter of '97. The snow lasted for 5 whole days. Imagine that - 5 days (sarcasm intended). Schools were closed for 10 days straight, and the school year had to be extended because every time snow is predicted schools are immediately closed. It's nuts.

I think it's because most folks can't drive in inclement weather.

I could care less how long Calhoun leaves his players in... it's OUR job to keep the score down, not his.
