I will be at the UAB game and plan on getting some high quality brew while I'm there and then bootleg it back to this horrible state.

There is a international beer place on Poplar east of Poplar Plaza (Highland). Maybe at Century. On the northeast corner. It's called Raffi's I believe. You can google it for the address. Good Luck

Try Raffe's Deli and Beer Garden a couple blocks west of Highland on Poplar for what is unquestionably the best beer selection in Memphis. If you want Boulevard or New Belgium product, head to Walgreen's in West Memphis.

What say you show up for our conference final? The celeb list for the UT game was not impressive. Flash that smile, maybe sing the anthem. Not that you need the pub.

There is a little mini mart over by Rhodes College, at McClean and Tutwiler. They cater to those rich little Rhodes students with daddy's credit card.

There's a decent beer bar off of Beale St. and around the corner from Fedex that has for Memphis a decent selection. Don't remember the name though.

No guys, he's stuck in Alabama, no beer over 6%. He's looking for the expensive stuff. I was in Montgomery Tuesday and the house passed a ABV bill that it looks like the Senate, in about 2 weeks, will pass and Riley has said he'll sign. Pacakge size rules won't change, but many more beers should be available soon.

Busters at the corner of Poplar and Highland has a good selection of Belgians, micro's and other high gravity beers. Is there a better "beer" liquor stoer in town? Raffe's Deli has a great selection too (under 6%) In Tennessee over 6% beers have another tax, so are sold in liquor stores only.

if you are going to be downtown, you can get kegs of boscos beer since they are selling it wholesale now.

Raffe's still might be worth taking a look because they carry some beers that you will not find anywhere else, and they have just started letting customer's buy mixed 6-packs. It's also just around the corner from Buster's so you wouldn't have to venture too far to check it out; it's right next door to the Taco Bell there on Poplar.

World Market has a superb collection of brews and even has a variety pack of selected imports. Xingu is a black beer that is one of my favorites. Can't drink much of it. After one, you feel like you've eaten a loaf of bread.

Wild Oats on Poplar also has a great beer selection. Lots of obscure brews there.

Raffe's is great. It's WEST of Highland, real near Buster's, but on the other side of the street.

Bosco's sells the kegs downtown at Third and Crump.

The mini market near Rhodes is on McLean. sp.

The Flying Saucer bar is downtown, you know, the one with the short skirts and poor service. ;-)

A stop at Raffee's and a stop at Buster's is real easy to do. I do a combined Raffee's, Busters stop at least twice a year.

I really wish Boscos would find a bottler. That's a huge revenue stream that they could be, err, tapping.

There is a little store on the corner of Parkway and Cnetral that has a nice selection of beer for a store like that. They also make the best gyro in town.

Give em time. They just started selling kegs and half gallons from their brewery a couple weeks ago.
