IU Situation
RANT ALERT

Kinda off topic, but did anyone notice the "K.S." on the shoes of the Indiana players at Northwestern. I think that deserves a big WTF???? Did he pass away from cancer??? Did he die in surgery while donating a kidney??? No, the guy got fired for CHEATING!!! Does anyone else see the problem with this??? I understand if they feel compelled to mourn the guy's firing, but he flagrantly broke the rules and deserved what came to him. Not only that, they walked out on Dakich before even giving the guy a chance. I guess this is the state of expectations for kids these days. They won't write NIU on their shoes to mourn a senseless act, they would rather honor their cheating "martyr."

RE: IU Situation
Dan Dakich should show up at the next practice with buckets of water, soap, and scrub brushes and have his players go to work on the shoes. It would be a good teaching opportunity.

RE: IU Situation
yeah not to mention the fact that he broke the same rule twice, lied to the NCAA and then got paid 750k to not sue!. how messed up is our society today???03-banghead

Of the 750k, 550K apparently was donated by an outside party. so rich guy X doesnt donate to cancer research or pick your favorite charity but donates it to the Go away Sampson fun. Ridiculous.

I've hated IU ever since this thing came out this summer.

RE: IU Situation
I believe the players are not pleased at having Dakich as the coach...that's allegedly why 6 player skipped practice the day Dakich was appointed...

RE: IU Situation
The Players wanted Ray McCallum. Ray was Ball State's coach from 93-00. Solid 126-76 record for them. I guess Dan was "more" involved with practices and is a former player.

RE: IU Situation
This afternoon on ESPN Classic, they had the 1985 Indiana-Ohio State game. One of Indiana's players was Dan Dakich, a real scrapper and scored in double figures. Who would have guessed 23 years later................
