DNTR - Lady Vols Get Home Cooking
DNTR = defintely not Tiger related

I know it's women's basketball and most of us don't really give a rat's @$$, but the Rutgers vs. Tennessee game was pretty good tonight. The clock operator in Knoxville did his ladies a favor by stopping the clock prematurely with 0.2 seconds left while play should've continued and run out. Instead, because of the stopped clock, a foul was called on Rutgers and the 'nappy headed ho's in orange' hit two free throws to beat the 'nappy headed ho's in pink' by one point.

DISCLAIMER: the term "nappy headed ho's" is intended for humorous purposes only...if you don't find it funny, don't read the damn post.

Too late for the disclaimer, I already read the post. I think that you should be removed from the airwaves for such a thing. Honestly, you should probably get the death sentence for that. I mean, honestly, even nappy headed bro's (or hoe's) don't call each other nappy headed hoes.

I'm sure there's already a contract out on me. Oh well.

If there was ever a game that need to be contested and reversed after the fact, this was a game. It was obviously a clock malfunction or an attempt by the clock operation to intentionally change the outcome of the game. It should be review and Rutgers should be given the victory.

The clock judge appears to have stopped the game at :02 seconds and then start it again. Just enough to allow the Vols to get one last shot off. I don't know if someone could actually do that on purpose so perfectly without some sort of practice at doing that. Otherwise, how could the clock seem to hesitate like it did?

Why don't we care about women's basketball. If we go into the Big East we are going to have to step up our game

Lady Vol board is trying to justify it or convince themselves that nothing wrong happened.

*Edit: I can't leave out the fact that there is a few over there that are claiming that they should do the right thing, lose with class, and declare Rutgers the winner. As much as I would love to bash there, I can't deny them being classy about that.

RE: DNTR - Lady Vols Get Home Cooking
If that happened to the Tiger men in a game and we lost, I think I might kill someone.

That was as blatant home cooking as can be imagined. The foul would have occurred after the clock expired if the clock was allowed to run as it should have. I don't think the refs realized that the clock was temporarily stopped at 0.2 seconds. It might have been a glitch with the refs whistle since much of the time it's controlled from the refs' waist band remote. But that was just too curious how that clock hesitated there. Rutgers should have won but no matter what protest occurs there won't be any reversal.

RE: DNTR - Lady Vols Get Home Cooking
did the refs review the play on video before allowing Rutgers to try the 3/4 length pass (of course they didn't start the clock then either)?

that should have been reviewed, timed while watching the replay, and the game over. it was a correctable error before they had Rutgers inbound the ball.

Yes, it was reviewed before UT shot the free throws. They still didn't get it right. I'm guessing that the refs might not have even noticed that the clock was stopped prematurely; otherwise, I don't know how they could have gotten it wrong.

This game was more disrespectful than the NHH comment. Don Imus wouldn't say that to the girls face.

For someone who spent so much time whining about Dozier I find your comments ironic and in appropiate.

My directv feed gets NY networks and they were all over this one. I did not see the game but saw the replay and although not quite as severe it ranked up there with the olympic job done on the us by the russians in the 72 games (76 maybe - foggy memory). That was a robbery.

RE: DNTR - Lady Vols Get Home Cooking
I have no love for Rutgers but they got hosed...no doubt about it. Any Vol nonsense trying to downplay things is just hyperbole. I would have to send a protest to the league whose refs did the game and the NCAA as well. It is over but you can penalize the refs by keeping out of the tourney when the money is better.
