burden Wrote:Kent does have the personnel to run but they tend to get sloppy and commit a ton of turnovers when they do. I think there best chance is to get St. Mary's to play at a slower pace. We'll see.

we need to play solid in the first half.. well, the second half too, of course. but the games we lost, we fell behind early, then couldn't catch up. the games we won, we got ahead early, which helped us stem off any comeback's from the opponent.
i do think fisher needs to be on.. completely on. he can be slick moving throgh the paint, but sometimes he can be a mess too. we will also need q in there to bust up that transition that was refered to.

AF, the game tips at 11:59 pm, so that would make it a Saturday game.

GO FLASHES !!!

RE: St Mary's Thread
While we wait, I checked some box scores today to try and figure out who would be officiating tonight... I came up with Terry Wymer, Jerry Sauder, and Lamar Simpson. Just a guess.

Almost right. Lamar is out and the 3rd is Bret Wegenke.

Pretty solid MAC crew tonight.

RE: St Mary's Thread
I believe Jim did say Wymer was expcected to do the game when I talked to him earlier in the week.

That's not an awful crew.

At least its not the crew that worked the Miami-Valpo game...

By the way, ugly uniforms (like KSU's black unis) were brought up on another thread. As I'm typing this, I just got a look at Oregon's black uniforms with the yellow numbers ... It looks like that's all that's on the jersey, but then close up you can see that the "Oregon" on the front and even the names on the back are in sparkly sequin-type material...

Absolutely awful

Seriously, if you get a chance to watch SportsCenter tonight or tomorrow morning, look for it. Unbelievable a player would agree to wear that.

I'd have liked to see J.D. Collins working with Wymer on tonight's crew. In my opinion, the two best officials working MAC games. That's why you see JD working Big Ten and Big East on most weekends.

RE: St Mary's Thread
I heard they've had some trouble with lighting and television. I don't know if this is completely true (but heck, I'm in the media, what does truth mean?), but I believe they have to bring in some temporary lighting.
