Memphis moving to Mississippi?
In the past we've mentioned seceding from TN and moving to MS.

Well, here's something interesting.

Water-Thirsty Georgia Wants Slice of Tennessee

Quote:Here are just two side effects of making the 35th parallel Tennessee's southern line: Not only would Georgia get a chunk of Chattanooga, Mississippi would get a slice of Memphis.

Now's our chance, Mid-South! While they're distracted by this border skirmish to the east, let us break free of the bonds of our respective tyrants (Tennessee, Arkansas, Mississippi, Missouri) and form our own state! One state, a new blob, invisibility for all!

So could this mean that the University of Memphis could finally get its own board?

Because you can't just form your on state. You would also be leaving the great state of Tennessee, which is idiotic....If Memphis weren't in Tennessee I am pretty sure I wouldn't be going here along with quite a few other people.

Oh no, not those fearsome flags. What can we do? Where can we go? Who can we complain to? Let's start a march. Protest. Boycott. Riot. Where is the PC police? Stop the presses.

Oh no, don't tell me there might be another side to the story, not a story of hundreds of thousands of dirt farmers. That can't be true because I've been told every Southerner lived atTara. You mean I might have been hoodwinked by propaganda? Surely not. I've heard Jessie and what's his face say those things are bad, so it must be true. Isn't it?

Gosh, why go to the trouble of revising history if there is any danger of the truth getting out? That wouldn't be very convenient to the popular version. Don't dare cloud my herd mentality view of history.

This gets my vote for overreaction of the year.

Back to the WATER ISSUE !

Not only is THIS po$$ible, it and other "solutions" will probably play out in the future. Mississippi is after our aquifer water as well. While the border is not as big an issue as the water matter at hand, this may be a solution in the making, along with the $$$ for it as well. He who has ... gets.

http://seekingalpha.com/article/24410-t-...should-you

Water could be pumped from the Tennessee, rather than just going down the river, to the Ohio, to the Miss. R. and out to the gulf. It probably would not be missed either. Minimum levels and flows could be established and the overages could then be offered to Georgia as a solution to their need. Just a thought. In case you want to see some big pumps, take a look at these. Go to the Columbia Basin Irrigation Project link on this page. http://users.owt.com/chubbard/gcdam/

If you've never been here...you're in for a surprise ! !

It might be a nice change of pace from loud rap music, low riding cars, turkey necks/legs and all the murders.

The people listening to rap music are responsible for the murders, and the people with confederate flags are responsible for the lynchings.

Before posting you must first learn to comprehend a sentence. There was no tie in to rap music and murders in my statement. The murders were separate in my statment because Memphis has ALOT of murders every year. But it's strange how you thought that. There must be some underlying belief by you that they are related. Nice try to stir the pot though Rev. Sharpton.
