The 2009 class is loaded with quality power forwards and shooting guards. One of the best on the perimeter is Nolan Dennis out of Richland (Texas) High School, and he has a school list of five heavy weights.



Dennis is a three position player.
"I'm most interested in Memphis, Indiana, UNC, UCLA and Texas," Dennis told Rivals.com. "They are all pretty much even, and all have shown support even though they are in the middle of the season."

In no hurry to make a decision, Dennis, a 6-foot-5, 185-pound shooting guard, is looking at the end of the summer as the time to make a decision. He has already unofficially visited Indiana and Texas and would like to work in some more visits before choosing a school.

"The main thing I'll be looking for is a situation where they will let me loose," he said. "A style of play where they run the ball is important. I also want to have a strong relationship with the coaches. I'd like to be used as a combo guard, but the most important thing is that I get the ball in my hands so I can make plays."

Averaging 21 points, ten rebounds and three assists per game, Dennis is focused on rounding out his game.

"I'm working hard on my defense and rebounding," he said. "I'm trying to improve on my all around game. Getting stronger is important as well, and I'm getting in the weight room as much as I can."

Dennis, who is the No. 21 ranked prospect in the class of 2009, will run with the Dallas Mustangs on the travel circuit.

A sleek all purpose guard, Dennis has a feel for the game and the athletic explosiveness that makes him one of the more intriguing guard prospects in the class. Capable of playing all three perimeter positions, Dennis is at his best making plays off the dribble. He has room to improve the consistency of his outside shot and he does need to gain weight. The potential is there, however, for Dennis to develop into a Devin Harris type point guard.
