Signing Day and no threads until now?
I expected some signing day threads and to my surprise not one thread.

Well feel to post under this one about your school's signings (Big East only)!!!

WVU - 24 have signed and waiting on at least one more.

RE: Signing Day and no threads until now?
USF has 22
We lost out on a few four stars at the end but did land
Baker a CB decommit from Auburn
and
BJ Daniels a 4star QB.
So overall we filled our needs.

Where's the rest of the Big East and their LOI's? I figured Pitt would be crowing about their class by now. What's going on in Louisville, Cincinnati, Syracuse, U Conn, and Rutgers? I'd like to hear it from the mouth of the fans about their 2008 class.

UC has signed 24 - and they just picked up RB Isaiah Pead, Ohio Division IV player of the year. According to Brian Kelly, Pead picked UC over Pittsburgh, West Virginia and Indiana.

However, we did lose OL commitment Patrick Omameh to RichWad and UM. Can’t win them all, but still happy with our haul.

RE: Signing Day and no threads until now?
Syracuse has its best class in years! 25 in total plus two grayshirt players and no major surprises.

According to Rivals (again, so take it for what it's worth)

4 4-Stars - DE, WR, LB, RB
6 3-Stars

We could have done better with our OL, but we kept the local NY talent, which hasn't been the case lately. There are some gems in this class and it will hopefully help to turn things around!

Cincinnati's recruiting should go up significantly since they got some last second high-profile recruits. Including a big time running back, something Cincinnati desperately needed to take the spread offense to the next level.

RE: Signing Day and no threads until now?
A list of the biggest recruits for UConn (I was almost done with a big thread dedicated to UConn recruiting before my compuer froze):

Jimmy Bennett, Tackle. Offers from Clemson, Penn State, Virginia Tech, West Virginia, Boston College, Michigan State, countless others.

Dwyane Gratz, CB. Offers from Michigan State, Cincinnati, Maryland, Temple.

Gerrard Sheppard, WR. Offers from Virginia Tech, Oregon State, Syracuse, others.(despite offers from VT and OSU, he gets two stars)

Erik Kuraczea, Center. Offers from tons of programs like Maryland after UConn gained his commitment.

Corey Manning, Tight End. Offers from Air Force, Georgia Tech, Miami U, and UAB. (source-redhawktalkcom and ESPN)

A.J. Portee, DE. Offers from Auburn, Mississippi State, MiamiU, and Vandy. (yep-offers from three SEC programs and he's a two star)

Jordan Todman, RB. Offers from Purdue, BC, and possibly Penn State.

Brian Parker, WR. Offer from UCF.

There were others, too, that I'll add later.

I agree! And I'm impressed with the Big East's recruiting class overall. It's obvious that the Big East's recruiting classes are greatly underestimated. My feeling has always been, if a Big East's team's recruiting class is ranked in the Top 50, it really means it's a Top 30 class. You can move that recruiting class up 20 to 30 spots up because you know it's being undervalued. I mean really, look at that UC team last year. Do you really believe that was the #80 recruiting class in the nation? And look at UConn's team as well last year. And both have better recruiting classes coming in.

Either that, or the BE just has first-class coaching 04-cheers

WVU's recruiting class should have been better. But under the circumstances, it went pretty well. Next year will be even better. Another year to let everyone realize that Coach Stew really can coach.

I figure Stew will easily top Rod's start. With the talent he has, he'd better. 05-mafia
