RE: Ball State Game
In my opinion there is just too much of a drop off between the starters and the bench. If JC substitutes a lot the team loses it's momentum, if he doesn't they get tired. Only Sullinger has JC's confidence underneath and even he has dropped off since last year. Both the starter and the sub has been an issue at the 2. Only Mincy and Woods have shown some sign of life coming of the bench but Woods especially is not a sure thing yet.
I hear the comments about specific players etc. but I just think it boils down to not having an effective bench. Team chemistry is something we just can't know about. It's all speculation. Why players aren't doing well is something you do if you want a PhD in Psych. The fact is they aren't and it's beginning to get us all nervous. With are remaining schedule I can very easily going something like 2-6 to finish. I'm not saying we will but if we don't snap out of it it's not impossible to imagine. On that happy note I'm going to bed.

RE: Ball State Game
Burden, only you could predict a 2-6 ending and them sleep on it, ha! jk
youre completely right though, the bench has not lived up to what we thought it would be. Offensively Rod has not really improved from last year, Sully isnt getting the results he did last year and Who knows what happened with Knight. Like yourself and Dave stated the 2 is a problem right now. We really run into trouble when one of the big four is struggling.
I believe the staff will start tweaking to get the right balance of production from bith the starters and the bench. it will probably begin with Mincy and Fisher starting the game together. I dont think we are that far off, hopefully we can get back on track today

RE: Ball State Game
Thanks, as always, to David C, that's really interesting info about your past stories.
I saw a bit of practice yesterday afternoon, as they were at the regular gym yesterday while I was working out. I didn't see anyone hanging out and watching, so I figured I'd get run off if I tried to watch. I was trying to glimpse what I could while running around the track! Two things that stood out: there were a few instances where things were really intense and loud. And I saw some shooting drills where McKee was money from three. It's always different with a hand in your face, of course, but it was amazing how automatic he was. Hopefully, he'll come out of his slump.
Not much info there, but I thought I'd pass it along anyway. ;-)
