Pitt QB Recruit switches to Louisville
CardinalSports.com Staff

Dublin (Ohio) Coffman quarterback Zack Stoudt made a commitment to Pitt in December, but had taken official visits to other schools in recent weeks after the Panthers picked up two more quarterback commits within a week of Stoudt's pledge. Now the 6-4, 210-pound quarterback has decided to go in another direction.

Stoudt, ranked as a three-star prospect and the No. 19 pro-style quarterback by Rivals.com, had been scheduled to take an official visit to Louisville two weekends ago, but that trip was cancelled when the Cardinals informed him they were going to use that scholarship offer on a defensive player.

Now it looks as if that scenario has changed because Stoudt informed CardinalSports.com this morning that he has decommitted from Pitt and will sign with Louisville on Wednesday.

His Father, Cliff Stoudt, did NOT play at Pitt. He played at Youngstown State in college and for the Pittsburgh Steelers (among others) in the pros.

Perhaps you're confusing Stoudt with another of the Pitt QB recruits, Tino Sunseri. Now his Father (Sal) DID play at Pitt and even coached a game for the Panthers at Hawaii after Paul Hackett was fired near the end of a season.

RE: Pitt QB Recruit switches to Louisville
Pitt had 3 QB recruits this year. Greg Cross is a JC transfer who is already on campus, and Sunseri is the son of a former player. That Gives Pitt 5QBs for next season. RS Jr Bill Stull, JR Greg Cross, RS So Kevin Smith, So Pat Bostick, and Fr Tino Sunseri. I hate to lose recruits and I think that he will be a good one, but I don't see this as a critical loss for Pitt. We stoel Sunseri from UL and they took Stoudt from us. It is all good.

Stoudt said he was looking around in case Pryor comitted to Pitt, Maybe he knows something. 05-stirthepot
