Was just checking out Charlston.net and saw this little bit of info in an article about today's game:

BOONE, N.C.-The news that Appalachian State is considering a renovation of Kidd Brewer Stadium will come as little consolation to The Citadel football team. The Bulldogs would likely sooner see the place removed altogether.

Kidd Brewer - which holds 16,650 seats and the dubious distinction of having the first artificial turf field in the Carolinas - has been a house of horrors for The Citadel in recent years.

....

As for Kidd Brewer Stadium, it remains to be seen if App State's plans include real grass at 3,280 feet above sea level.

"I think we're a month away from the people in control saying what they are going to do," Moore said. "But I think something really nice will come from it."

That's awesome!! I hate the astroturf and would love to see grass.
