Man, how tragic is this. I was just learning to really appreciate his talent after seeing him as one of the Bob Dylan's in I'm Not There...he was tremendous in that movie....what a shame..also leaves a 2 yr. old daughter.

i was just going to post this. it really is just so sad. these young hollywood people are just falling off, last week it was brad renfro, this week heath ledger. something has to start being done about this crowd. it's getting out of hand.

On a much less important note, his death will be problematice for the new Batman movie, since he was the Joker. I doubt filming was complete, but I know it had begun.

Sad, especially for his young one.

filming was complete. its in post production.

although none of that is anywhere near as valuable as this persons life. simply tragic.

depends on how much they got of him. movies like to film as much as they can of one person then release them, but joker is a lead role. Lee died in the filming of The Crow and they finished it.

but it is still surprising to hear of this sad news.

i'm not a celebrity, so i don't know what it's like to lead their life. but they are so selfish and do such selfish things. i just can't imagine doing these types of things and getting myself into trouble like this.

i just don't get it.

The Joker was supposed to be part of the next movie too...

I guess they'll just put another actor in the role since the Joker is made-up, but how do they promote "The Dark Knight?" Especially since Heath Ledger's image was key with the "Why So Serious?" campaign.

The previews for the new Batman movie look very entertaining. From the trailor alone, he looked like he was going to play the role of Joker very effectively. I am betting you the movie will become much more anticipated because of this...

i just don't get it.

Suicide is the most selfish act one can possibly commit.

I haven't read all the news reports. Are they sure it was suicide?
