what to do in...
Gatlinburg? I'm making my first trip up there this weekend. I already have a place to stay, between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, but looking for advice on how to do things within the area. someone told me you pay for most parking, is that right? also heard you can't go out without spending a minimum of $20, so a four day weekend, i plan to cook in some nights.

what advice can anyone give or places i should go? i hope to ski a little and ice skate as well with my girl. help a Tiger out.

The Comedy Barn in Pidgeon Forge.

You laugh through the whole thing and can even take home a dvd.

Gatlinburg itself is a congested tourist trap. Sight see in the mountains as much as possible.

Are you staying in Westgate?

I would suggest some hiking, but this weekend it is going to get frigid, so unless you have some good cold weather gear and clothing, maybe not.

On the Pigeon Forge end, there is every tourist trap thing imaginable from Chinese acrobats to indoor skydiving, plus Tshirt shops and outlet malls galore. Gatlinburg has a pretty good aquarium at Ripleys. If your girl likes arts and crafts, go to the Glades area in Gatlinburg and look around/shop.

Sorry I can't be of more help - I have spent a lot of time in the area, but mostly on the working end of things.

I could come up with something better than that, but I'll let it go.

I like the comedy club idea.

Someone else keeps her laughing all night then you get to reap the benefits later.

Go to the Game Day cap store on the main drag in Gatlinburg. Look around for a minute and notice what is there and what is not. Ask the fat guy with the beard behind the counter why he does not carry any Memphis Tiger caps.

When he says that no one wants to buy them, ask him how many of the Louisville, Oregon, Washington State, etc. caps he sells.

Have your wife that has already left knowing what was going down time you on how long it takes the fat guy with the beard to tell you to get the hell out of his store and not come back.

See if you can beat 47 seconds.

Tell the fat guy with the beard that RandyMc says hello.

Take your wife to Bear Creek Grill so she will simmer down after the scene that you caused.
