Pitt vs Georgetown thoughts
After watching the game tonight against Georgetown, I have a new appreciation for Jamie Dixon. I really thought we'd struggle after losing Cook and Fields but we are 3-1 with our only loss by 1 point at Nova. The team looked great tonight while knocking off the Hoyas. Pitt upped their impressive record at the Pete to 91-8 all time. Dixon is a great coach who is flying under the radar because of all the name coaches in the league, but Jamie is one of the better coaches in the league and the country right now.

Totally agree with you, Shannon. I thought Pitt would really struggle with the injuries they've had, but WOW, they're rolling right along. Great job by Dixon, if he keeps this going he'll get all the recognition and more. Culminating in somebody trying to hire him away, I'm afraid. Hope Pitt is prepared to shell out the cash to keep him.

We already had that 2 years ago. Arizona State made a run at him and Pitt stepped up to keep him. Jamie really seems to appreciate what he has at Pitt. He has the full support of the administration, great areas to recruit from, and a great league to showcase his program.

the freshman center made hibbert look stiff and slow. He's very cooridinated and strong and danced around a lottery pick.

Blair is a beast. If he keeps this up Pitt will have the BE Freshman of the year in both FB & BB. He was tailor made for Pitt hoops.

Hibbert may regret not going pro last year.

Georgetown was the best cutting team I've ever seen because even the big guys, like hibbert can pass. However, Memphis solved that by not switching off in the second half and that and they blew out Georgetown. Also the big man from Memphis destroyed Hibbert. Hibbert just doesn't look that tough for his size.
