Mercer 2-0 against Jacksonville 3-0.... both teams need a quality conference win, here's their chance.

ETSU vs. G-Webb. After G-webb lost to Upstate they need to prove themselves desperately. ETSU seems to struggle a little with GW, but I still can't see ETSU coming out flat for a THIRD time in a row! (and they've won both games they came out flat in! scary!)

Of course there's also Belmont against Lipscomb... we'll see just what Belmont is made of. (I can't believe they are playing this game at 3 PM! That's a crime for a rivalry like this.)

It's going to be a telling weekend. For us, GW always scares me. They play hard and we have been playing flat; however, I could also see us busting out today too. Losing 2 players has temporarily affected our chemistry, but our bench has stepped up in a big way. Bartow is now playing 10 players, something I have never seen him do.

Mercer v. Jacksonville. Just not impressed with JU this year. Mercer wins this one.

Lipscomb v Belmont. Lipscomb is playing hard and Belmont's defense is reminiscent of ETSU's--susceptible to some serious lapses. I think Lipscomb will take them.

GW will come ready to play. ETSU needs to get out of the gate better. No depth at PG.

As if the lipscomb game away wasn't such a huge game every year, now with the way Belmont has been playing as of late this game shows tell-tell signs of a make or break turning point match up as well. Lipscomb got off to a slow start but has been playing great in transition as of late, They pushed the floor hard against Campbell and now here comes Belmont limping in after this up and down stretch we've had. Big A-SUN game.

As of elsewhere, I agree that the BUCS have to get out of the gate fast. That can definately help them squash any momentum you can give GW.

As I've already said in the Mercer forum... JU is coaching Mercer straight out of our own Arena. Our coach has to go!

I disagree with that . I think Coach Laing is doing a good job. We have improved greatly over what we have done in the past. I don't think you are being very fair to the coach.
