RE: Like ESPN My Very Early BIG EAST Football Predictions
I'm sorry Maize but I really think these rankings(at least for RU) are bull crap. Here's why Ru goes 3-4 in conference? Okay I can buy that. 6-6 overall? That means we lose 2 of our Out of conference games? 1AA ,Army, Navy, UNC probably some Cusa team. Out of those 5 do you really think we will lose two? Ray Rice was a good player but our passing game alone would be more than enough to handle the OOC schedule. 3-4 8-4 overall I think would be more realistic(but my homerisim in my thinks we will do better than that...oh well we will see.)

I just think losing Ray Rice is going to have a much bigger effect then you might want to admit.

Hell right now I would put Louisville at 6-6 because Lamar Myles turned pro yesterday and that now leaves a gapping hole in our defense-(we have no LBs left).

Maize, while I'm not disputing your predictions because they're very possible and they're you're informed and deserved opinion I will tell you one thing. Ray Rice will be considerably easier to replace than Brian Leonard. Ray may have been a stats machine so to speak but he wasn't half of the leader Brian Leonard was for us. Brian Leonard is that rare once in a blue moon player that whose mere presence on a team makes everyone around him better, work harder, and play more together.

I agree with Leonard being a leader but i have to tell you without Rice, I dont think you guys would have beaten USF past two years. He was a battering ram that would just go on and on and get stronger as the game went on. I can tell you he was the difference those two games. So many times I saw our defense be in place and ray just ran through them one time and next time would just turn the speed on. He is a very special RB, one with speed, power and more importantly that just gets better as the game goes on. He will be hard to replace.

No I said I agree with your conference ranking of 3-4 but who do you see us losing to OOC to make us 6-6? Army? Navy? Howard?
