Michael - I picked them to win, more out of wishfulness maybe, but I've just not been impressed by the Hokes.

Karma is a bit*h isn't it? ACC tried to destroy the BE and now they are the most pathetic BCS conference out there by far. These guys are just bad.

2-6 bowl record. Wow!

BTW, I took Kansas straight up without any points. Whoever voted Va Tech #3 in the country needs to get their voting rights revoked. This Va Tech team is not much better than UCONN.

Virginia Tech would have lost to West Virginia, UCONN, South Florida, and Cincinnati this year.

Yup. Terrible, lackluster performance by VPI. Terrible playcalling. They would be middle-of-the-pack in the BE, no question.

Which is where they were the last few years in the league, so it stands to reason.

I'm glad VT did not make the title game, they certainly didn't belong.

I agree. The difference between UConn and Virginia Tech is preseason hype/rankings. How are they #3 with the losses they had?

I think any advantage VT has talent-wise would be completely offset by their stupid mistakes. UConn simply does not do that and would probably get at least +2 in TOs, giving them an excellent chance vs. VT.
