Looking at WAC losses to date, I noticed that none of the top 5 teams (Nevada, Utah St, NMSU, Fresno St, Hawai

Hawaii was picked to finish 5th in the conference by the coaches...and I can see why.

With Riley Wallace on his "farewell" tour, it doesn't seem he has the fire he once had.

I'm giving him slack because his health is now in question...and he has missed practices because of it.

But I sure would feel better if the UHAD already had somebody "named" to take over next year.

This Larry Brown talk makes "no" sense to me. If ole' Larry wasn't loyal to any team or organization he's been a part of up to this point...he'll not be loyal to Hawaii either....

...and we'll be looking for a new coach in a year or two.

There are good coaches out there whom have "ties" to Hawaii...and they're the ones we should focus on.

But as far as the WAC is concerned, the conference is doing well.

The conference that I pay attention to most (outside of the WAC) is the WCC. The Zags are "without" a doubt...the most popular team on the west coast...and ESPN is "crazy" about them.

Glad to see they're now tagged with 3 losses....and they still lead the WCC.

With the help of ESPN, the WCC will be one of the best conferences in the country...unless the WAC can step in to take their place.

We have to beat them at "every" opportunity. When Nevada plays the Zags...ESPN will be rooting for the Zags. I hope the Pack totally destroys them on national TV.

I think you've exposed something here. ESPN can't afford their darling mid-majoresque program to fall on N.TV.

Broncos are only 5 - 5,
Broncos are only 5-5, but looking better. Broncos are a more balanced team this year with a strong inside game. Bitter 2 point loss last night in double overtime, but Marymount is 5-0 at home with a 2 point win over NMSU too.
Could be a fun year for Bronco basketball fans.....
WAC Newcomer of the Year should be Reggie Larry. Make sure you see him play when the Broncos come to your town.

NMSU didn't have two starters when we played Loyal, and Ingram was playing hurt.

NMSUfootball is back! Good to see you back here my friend 04-bow

Isn't it about time for you to start complaining again about the officiating from last year's NMSU/Nevada basketball game? ;-)

Ya, I wish two of our starters were hurt for this game too. When both were on the bench we ran to a 14 point lead. That was when they went back in....combined they were something like 3-16 shooting and had double digit TO's.

WAC vs WCC...
I agree the WAC needs to beat the WCC (and the MWC) whenever possible. Unfortunately the WCC is currently 6-4 vs the WAC.

Gonzaga 1-0
LMU 2-0
Santa Clara 2-1
SDU 0-0
St Mary's 1-1
USF 0-2
Pepperdine 0-0
Portland 0-0

Only 1 of those victories were against the WAC top 4 - LMU over NMSU - but that only makes the Nevada - Gonzaga game even bigger. There are a few other games between the conferences left. Santa Clara - USU, San Diego - Fresno, SFU - Hawaii. USU might have a tough game on their hands at Santa Clara, but all three of these games are winnable. it would be great to end up 8-6 vs the WCC but that means the WAC has to win all 4 remaining games.
