on behalf of usf, im sorry
Im sure i speak for most of the USF fans when I say that I am sorry. We really let the entire conference down out there, what a pathetic performance. Im ashamed. No excuses, we didnt come ready to play. I just want it to be over.

Heres to next year. 04-cheers

USF still had great season. Too bad it ends on such a sour note.

It's interesting to me how pretty much every team in the conference this year seemingly had some sort of letdown or upset by somebody else in the league. Pitt over the 'Eers and UC, Syracuse over UofL, and now USF, etc.

Been an interesting roller-coaster of a year.

Edit: I realize USF didn't lose to an in-conference opponent. Misspoke, sorry.

Bah, the conference will be fine. USF and UConn have very good programs. USF just needs more offensive consistency and UConn needs a stronger offense period. Once they get that they'll be fine.

Don't apologize yet, the game isn't completely over. They may be able to score a few points...

Game is not over. USF might be able to salvage the 4th quarter. That was just an ugly 3rd quarter. Oregon's RS freshman QB looks pretty good running that offense. Where is the usual USF pressure we used to see all season? The QB got all the time to make plays.

There's just too much time off from the end of the regular season to the start of most bowl games. Team chemistry can change. At least USF still had their coach, about half the teams playing in bowl games are not playing with their head coach.

I am sorry too for USF's performance. The BIG EAST is tougher than this, but it has not shown during the bowl season. I am glad that USF beat Auburn this season to help the BIG EAST, but I am sad that we lost to Oregon. USF wont be in the preseason top 25 for sure next season after this performance. Hopefully, USF uses this beat down as motivation for next season.

It feels better to have USF fans saying sorry than they way UConn has acted. The wrong teams were in the wrong bowls just like we all said three weeksa ago. UC deserved The Sun Bowl. Hope we get a chance next time. All the teams are decent its just ashame its all about politics. Mike T take note !

As a UCF fan, I just want to congratulate USF on a hell of a season.

Forget this game. Oregon came out with a vengeance and something to prove and you guys ran into it. These things happen.

Best of luck in the off season, I'm sure ya'll will take in an amazing class and only get better.

Both USF and UCONN will be stronger than ever next season. Since my team didn't even go bowling no one owes me an apology, if anything UL owes the BE an apology for stinking it up this season. It's been a roller-coaster for the entire BE, things will smooth out. Fortunately we had last season undefeated in bowls. Chins up, we're good.

Back from the Sun Bowl. The people of El Paso where very friendly, got to see carlsbad caverns and the Battle of the bands the day before game in the convention center was fun.
The game? Well thats another story, the reality was that USF ot outplayed and outcoached by Oregon. Im not sure if USF thought that without Dixon ,Oregon would struggle but you have to tip your hat to the Oregon coaching staff they used that month layoff to set up a gameplan and their RS QB that hadnt played was extremelly effective.
On the positive side USF fans outnumbered Oregon fans by quite a margin and it was noticed on the El Paso paper. USF traveled very well to this game which helps the Big East

The positive story in this bowl season for the Big East is that UCONN, South Florida, and Cincinnati traveled well to their games. This will certainly help in the next round of bowl negotiations.
