MissJ spends a lot of time keeping Koko looking so good!

Mel, thanks...I actually do spend a good bit of time on him. Anyone thinking about getting a poodle (especially a standard poodle) better either be prepared to learn how to groom yourself or pay approximately $100-$150 a month for grooming. He's so big now (and still a growing boy) it takes me about 1 hour a week to touch up and 2 hours every 2 weeks to actually do a complete groom. That doesn't include bath time either. Everywhere we go he gets compliments on his cut and his personality. He's the love of my life.

I know a lot about cages. Do you really think that "caging" an animal for your own amusement is the right thing to do? I'm sure (or hope) you don't keep him in a cage, but do you really think he's happy not given a chance to be free? Naturally, they will become dependent on you for food and water, but do you really think this dog set out to be a pet for your amusement?

You keep a roach in a match box. What's the difference?
