Nevada/NMSU volleyball rivalry cemented
Up-and-down Nevada knocked off NMSU Sat. night in 5 games, putting the first blemish on the Aggies' record (now 17-1). The Wolf Pack moved to 3-0 in conference, tied for first with Hawai'i.
From several comments leading up to the match, it's clear that these two teams REALLY don't like each other, and Saturday's match had to have intensified those feelings.
The next two matches for Nevada -- a Wed. match against USU, followed by a trip to the islands -- will go a long way toward determining whether they're contenders or pretenders.

Glad to see that Nevada is still improving and has some fight back! Devin is a great coach. Hopefully the WAC can again become a 3-bid conference. (Just as long as you guys know your place and don't end Hawaii's streak. ;-) )

That was a big win for Nevada and a real disappointment for NMSU (still sore about last year's NCAA snub), but I have no doubt the team will learn from it and come back stronger. Will no doubt greatly intensify the rivalry. Great for WAC VB.
