CSU postgame thoughts
Flashes clearly got back on track and played a much better game than last time out. Good tuneup for the big one coming up.
I thought our first half was one of the best defensively and offensively that we've had this year. I think we had 10 assists on 12 buckets and they only had one assist in the first half.
Only flaw in this game was free throw shooting, but I think it was just hiccup as we have been pretty good from the line this year.
Al Fisher was great as was Q, Scott and sing. All around great play from our first 8 guys tonight.
Last thought, JC seems to really have excellent seniors in his system, sure he doesnt get all the credit but I have to believe it has something to do with his coaching. that being said we should have excellent senior classes in the next 2 years. thats plenty of time to continue to reload with good young recruits and transfers. Im getting especially excited about the continued development of Chris Singletary. He is shaping up to be a phenomenal jr and sr for us.
GO FLASHES BEAT TAR HEELS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Flash Grad '03 - I agree that Singletary is coming along nicely. He's an unusual player. His size and style make it hard for me to think of another player to compare him to. He can shoot from the outside. He can drive to the hole but is not what I'd call a really fast player (quick 1st step, but not a sustained really fast type guy). He is a brick of a young man (kinda like A. Gates) but not a great leaper (like Gates was for his size). Very unusual...
His bread and butter move offensively seems to be taking the ball the basket to initiate contact or draw in the double team, spin, then find the open man inside (Q). A few times last night, he forced it but most times Chris draws the foul and gets to the line. We need someone who can create offense in addition to AF. Chris does it in an unconventional manner, but I love the results.
I'm probably most impressed with Singletary's hustle on the defensive end. He seems to really understand what the team needs from him on that end. Early on last season, I didn't think we'd get a whole lot from Chris when it comes to gritty / tough defensive play.
Great game Flashes!
